The Charleston Symphony Orchestra (Charleston, SC) announces an audition for:

PRINCIPAL BASSOON (full-time resident core musician, tenure-track position, with wind quintet duties)

Audition Date: Tuesday, September 21, 2021

2021-22 Season: September 20, 2021 – May 1, 2022 (32 weeks total including 2 paid vacation weeks) Full-time employment to commence at winning candidate’s earliest availability but not later than January 3, 2022

2021-22 Season Annual Salary: $34,382 Full benefits package including health, dental, instrument, and disability insurance; paid personal and sick leave; CSO retirement vehicle available

A $50 deposit check (required to reserve an audition time) must be received in Charleston by September 7th. Audition reservation cancellations after September 13th will result in forfeiture of the audition deposit.
