The Charleston (Charleston, SC) announces an audition for:

PRINCIPAL (full-time resident core musician, tenure-track position, with wind quintet duties)

Audition Date: Tuesday, September 21, 2021

2021-22 Season: September 20, 2021 – May 1, 2022 (32 weeks total including 2 paid vacation weeks) Full-time employment to commence at winning candidate’s earliest availability but not later than January 3, 2022

2021-22 Season Annual Salary: $34,382 Full benefits package including health, dental, instrument, and disability insurance; paid personal and sick leave; CSO retirement vehicle available

Resumés will be screened by the audition committee, and all applicants will be notified via email by August 16th whether or not they have been invited to the audition.

A $50 deposit check (required to reserve an audition time) must be received in Charleston by September 7th. Audition reservation cancellations after September 13th will result in forfeiture of the audition deposit.
