in El Salvador Market Overview The United States is El Salvador’s main trading partner. In 2015, U.S. exports to El Salvador were $3.3 billion, unchanged from 2014. El Salvador’s exports to the United States were $2.5 billion, up 4.1% from 2014. A partial list of U.S. companies with market presence includes: AES Corp, American Airlines, Arrow Electronics, Caterpillar, Citi, Colite, Cisco, Coca-Cola, Crowley, Delta, FedEx, General Electric, General Motors, John Deer, Kimberly Clark, Kraft, Microsoft, PriceSmart, United, Walmart, Xerox, 3M, as well as dozens of U.S franchises. U.S. companies exporting to El Salvador benefit from the Central America-Dominican Republic Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA-DR) with zero percent duty on U.S. consumer and industrial goods. CAFTA-DR entered into force ten years ago and has contributed to the dramatic increases in the United States’ bilateral trade with El Salvador and trade throughout the region.

La referida remisión se realiza a fin de resolver los recursos de Apelación interpuestos por los licenciados: 1) Silvia Lorena Romero Rivera, en su calidad de Defensora Particular de la imputada ARBV; 2) José Gerardo Hernández Rivera, en su calidad de defensor particular del imputado ECM; 3) Luis Antonio López Ponce y Sonia Beatriz Hernández Chacón, actuando como defensores particulares de los procesados CATC, NATC y JAAC; y 4) DBEO, en su calidad de defensora particular del imputado MAPG. Los referidos recursos de Apelación se han interpuesto en contra de la Sentencia Condenatoria emitida a las dieciséis horas del día veintidós de mayo del año dos mil diecisiete. Independientemente que se trate de cuatro recursos de Apelación en contra de la mencionada resolución, todos ellos se refieren al mismo proceso penal, no teniendo relevancia procesal alguna que se hayan marcado como si se trataran de procesos independientes; por lo que la resolución que en esta instancia se emita, se referirá a los medios de impugnación previamente detallados.

These constant transformations are associated with exhaustion, saturation and obsolescence of the traditional model of tourism development. New production and consumption processes of leisure have been configured; in them the singularization and the differentiation of the product are the main features compared to the previous guidance range tourist production to consumption for massive and undifferentiated. The tourists base their choice on the possibility of getting the best competitive advantages which includes the enjoyment of unique and unforgettable experiences. So, it has led to the insertion of new destinations in the international tourist scene. There are some new destinations that were hidden in the international tourist map until recently. In some cases, their emergence has meant a great competency to other destinations with an acknowledged trajectory in this field. Since the beginning of mobility because of leisure purposes the increase in diversification and differentiation of destinations has been a recurrent constant, although not with the same intensity as that of recent years. At the moment, these emerging destinations are becoming more relatively important compared to most established destinations because of the increase in the international arrivals. These exotic destinations combine with aspects can be found in traditional tourist destinations, so they can enter into strong competition.

Con la caracterización espacial se obtuvo la distribución de la contaminación de las industrias ubicadas en las diferentes subcuencas, municipios y cantones que forman la subcuenca Acelhuate.

Kelly, B.A. Fairbanks, Alaska May 2009 ABSTRACT El Imposible, the largest and most biologically diverse National Park in El Salvador, has been co- managed by SalvaNATURA, a Salvadoran environmental NGO, and the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment since 1991. The Park protects some the country’s few remaining sources of uncontaminated water, and serves as El Salvador’s final refuge for several threatened animal species. One of the biggest challenges facing the Park’s managers is that approximately 30 families inhabit the Park, 23 of which are located within the study area. With a high poverty level and few employment opportunities, the families depend on agriculture and the natural resources found within El Imposible for survival. These families inhabited El Imposible prior to it being declared a national park in 1989, and many do not have the option of relocating, if so desired, due to financial constraints. SalvaNATURA, in recent years, has been encouraging ecotourism in the San Francisco Menéndez sector of El Imposible through the implementation of small-scale, community-based projects. The primary aim has been to conserve and protect the Park’s biodiversity, while also creating alternative forms of income generating activities for local peoples, promoting environmental education, and sustainably developing the area as an attractive tourist destination.

    Interest will be payable semi-annually in arrears on June 15 and December 15 of each year commencing on December 15, 2005. The Notes will mature on June 15, 2035. The Notes will contain provisions, commonly known as “collective action clauses,” regarding acceleration and voting on future amendments, modifications and waivers that differ from those applicable to certain of the Republic of El Salvador’s outstanding public external indebtedness. Under these provisions, which are described in the sections entitled “Terms and Conditions of the Notes — Events of Default” and “— Modifications, Amendments and Waivers,” the Republic of El Salvador may amend the payment provisions of the Notes and certain other terms with the consent of the holders of 75% of the aggregate amount of the outstanding Notes. To this effect, UNWTO has sought inputs on the above- mentioned issues, both from UNWTO State Members and UN Members from the Central American region, on what has been achieved in the region in the last five years. El informe está dirigido a la opinión pública en general, pero se espera que sea de interés para periodistas, analistas, investigadores especializados y, especialmente, para los tomadores de decisiones, quienes deben diseñar, implementar, dar seguimiento y evaluar las políticas públicas de seguridad ciudadana, prevención de la violencia y para la reducción de los homicidios a nivel nacional, departamental y municipal. Es un informe automatizado sobre las tendencias de homicidios en los departamentos de la República de El Salvador. En el mismo se presentan los gráficos con la tasa interanual por cada 100 mil habitantes, calculada mensualmente a partir de las cifras de homicidios publicados por la Dirección de Información y Análisis (DIA) del Ministerio de Justicia y Seguridad Pública (MJSP) y según las proyecciones de población de la Dirección General de Estadística y Censos (DIGESTYC). La tasa interanual es un indicador que refleja lo ocurrido en los últimos doce meses, hasta el punto de observación, permitiendo visualizar tendencias y trascender los análisis parciales que suelen hacerse.
