The Traditional Mediterranean diet The Traditional Mediterranean diet has been proven to be the healthiest diet. The Mediterranean diet is characterized by eating habits found that had the inhabitants of Crete and southern Italy in the early 1960s. It is famous for its beneficial properties, protects from myocardial infarction and from various forms of cancer, are low in calories, it stimulates the body, helps good bowel function etc. The way that food is gaining more and more ground in recent years, as numerous studies show that residents of Mediterranean regions live longer. The menu is simple and is based on a frugal diet: vegetables, fruits, legumes, vegetables, pure cheese, baked brown bread, raw olive oil, nuts, some homemade wine and fish! These key features of the Mediterranean diet (high consumption of fruits, vegetables and unsaturated fats), among other things, protect the skin from the signs of time, namely wrinkles. And in conjunction with daily physical exercise (e.g., walking, dancing, etc.) the Mediterranean nutritional menus is a recipe for longevity, health and beauty.
