Our focus is to offer only top collections that have been properly stored. There is a diverse range of wines offered in this December auction, and some remarkably deep collections. If you are searching for top Bordeaux from the best modern vintages, this is a catalog that you will want to review carefully. The depth of great vintages is remarkable – note the group of 1982s (lots 543-559) and 2000s (lots 471-487) along with the abundance of fi rst growth Paul Hart Bordeaux across so many vintages. Bidders are sure to fi nd favorites among the selection of President & CEO Hart Davis Hart Wine Co. great classics. While we often offer Screaming Eagle, we have not offered or seen a group of this depth. Perhaps the height of rarity, Screaming Eagle is a wine that is always highly sought. Included in the auction’s opening consignment is a selection of Screaming Eagle in lots 157-174 that includes 12 vintages, a remarkable selection of bottles, and even a few incredibly rare double magnums. Collectors of the hard to fi nd and incredibly original Sine Qua Non from California will fi nd a 128 lot section – a virtual library of Manfred Krankl’s gems – offered in lots 196-324. Krankl’s incredibly original approach includes bold and striking blends, artisanal bottles and unique labels to complete the package. Additionally, each bottling is made only once and not continued in later vintages. This near-comprehensive offering is a special opportunity. Whether you are bidding for holiday gifts or hunting for rarities for your cellar, we hope that you will come to Chicago and join us at Tru on December 6th. If you are unable to make the trip, please know that you can fax your bids to us or visit us online at www.hdhwine.com to place your bids.
