The species of the genus Pseudoblothrus Beier, 1931 from Italy are revised. Two species are present in this area: P. peyerimhoffi (Simon, 1905) (Piedmont) and P. regalini Inzaghi, 1983 (Lombardy). The following synonymy is proposed: Pseudoblothrus ellingseni (Beier, 1929) is a junior subjective synonym of P. peyerimhoffi (Simon, 1905) (syn. nov.). A key to all species of the genus Pseudoblothrus is provided. A new genus of Ideoroncidae, Pseudalbiorix, is described from Central America, and is found to consist of four species: the type species P. reddelli (Muchmore 1982), new combination from southern Mexico, P. veracruzensis (Hoff 1945), new combination from Belize, Guatemala and southern Mexico, and P. muchmorei Barba & Pe´rez, new species and P. armasi Barba & Pe´rez, new species from western Cuba. Pseudalbiorix reddelli and P. veracruzensis are transferred from the genus Albiorix. Mem- bers of this genus differ from all other ideoroncids principally in the morphology of the chelal externo- distal condyle. All post-embryonic stages of P. reddelli are described. Twenty-nine species of pseudoscorpions are reported from Michigan, including two new species, Dinocheirus horricus and Parachelifer monroensis. and an undetermined species of Pseudogarypus. Disjunct distributions are discussed. Indirect evi dence of phoresy is presented. A key to Michigan pseudoscorpions, and an account of each species including data related to identification, dis tribution and habitat preference are included. Data concerning life stages, number of generations per year, and density are presented in the population analysis of M. confusum in beech-maple litter. The maxi mum density of all life stages reached 154.9 per square Sigurd Oscar Nelson, Jr. meter and dropped below 20, except for winter months, on a single occasion. -
