CENTURY MARK Dougie Hamilton scored his 100th career NHL goal tonight. He has now posted 19 points in his last 17 games (2/27- 4/3: 3g, 16a). Hamilton has now scored 36 goals in 165 games with the Hurricanes since joining the team in 2018-19, and his 0.22 goals per game is the highest goal-scoring rate by any defenseman in franchise history (min. 50 GP).

BACK LIKE HE NEVER LEFT Vincent Trocheck tallied an assist tonight, and he has now tallied points in each of his first three games back in the lineup after missing eight games due to an upper-body injury (3/30-4/3: 1g, 3a). Dating back to 2/27, Trocheck has posted a point in each of his last nine games played (5g, 7a). Despite playing only 27 games in 2020-21, he now ranks tied with Martin Necas (9-19—28) for third on the team in points.

BACK IN BLACK Tonight, Carolina wore their black alternate uniforms for the ninth of 13 times this season, and the team is now 6-1-2 in those games. Since debuting their current third jerseys in the 2018-19 season, the Hurricanes have now posted a 31-12- 5 record (including regular season and playoffs) when wearing their black uniforms.

GOING BACK-TO-BACK Tonight, Carolina opened their sixth of nine sets of back-to-back games this season. The Hurricanes are now 4-2-0 in the first game and 3-2-0 in the second game of back-to-backs in 2020-21.
