2020 COYOTES DRAFT GUIDE 2020 NHL DRAFT INFORMATION BROADCAST DETAILS The 2020 NHL Draft™ presented by EA SPORTS NHL21 will be held virtually over two days. Round 1 will take place at 4 p.m. PT/ 7 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Oct. 6. Rounds 2-7 will begin at 8:30 a.m. PT/ 11:30 a.m. ET on Wednesday, Oct. 7. Round 1 NBCSN, Sportsnet and TVA will provide live coverage on Tuesday, followed by NHL Network Tues., Oct. 6, 4 p.m. PT and Sportsnet on Wednesday. Armstrong joins the Coyotes from the St. Louis Blues, where he served as the club’s Assistant General Manager/Director of Amateur Scouting the past two years and was instrumental in building the Blues team that won the 2019 Stanley Cup. Armstrong becomes the tenth general manager in franchise history. Armstrong, 50, joined the Blues in July of 2004 as an amateur scout and in August of 2010, he was named as the club’s Director of Amateur Scouting. On August 28, 2018, he was promoted to the assistant general manager position while maintaining his duties as director of amateur scouting. In addition to assisting the Blues’ general manager in hockey operations decisions, Armstrong oversaw the team’s participation in the NHL Draft. Prior to joining the Blues, Armstrong spent six seasons as a coach in the American Hockey League (AHL) and East Coast Hockey League (ECHL). He began as an assistant coach with the AHL’s Providence Bruins in 1998, helping lead the Bruins to the 1999 Calder Cup Championship. Armstrong was named the head coach of Providence prior to the start of the 2000-01 season, a position he held for two seasons (2000-02). Following his stint in Providence, Armstrong spent two seasons (2002-04) as the head coach of the Trenton Titans of the ECHL. A native of Richmond Hill, Ontario, Armstrong played four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) and won the Memorial Cup with the Oshawa Generals in 1990. Drafted in the third round (46th overall) by the Philadelphia Flyers in 1990, Armstrong played nine seasons in the AHL and the International Hockey League (IHL), appearing in 543 games and collecting 74 points (10 goals, 64 assists) and 1,443 penalty minutes. www.ArizonaCoyotes.com 4 @AZCOYOTESPR YOTES NOTES WELCOME TO THE DESERT JANKOWSKI OVERSEEING THE DRAFT GM Bill Armstrong has begun building his hockey Per an agreement with the St. Louis Blues, GM Bill operations staff with several key hires.
