The club will not go more than one day between games the rest of the way, which includes six back-to-backs.

BACK-TO-BACK Originally scheduled for seven back-to-back contests in 2020-21, the Avs will now play eight thanks to a couple of postponements ... This weekend is the third of those eight back-to-backs ... After last night's win, Colorado is now 2-1-0 in the first game and 1-0-1 in the second ... Two of Colorado's eight back-to-back sets will take place here in Glendale (also March 22-23).

MILESTONE WATCH • Nathan MacKinnon – 1 assist to tie Alex Tanguay (321) for eighth place in franchise history and fourth in Avalanche history. • Gabriel Landeskog – 1 goal to tie Peter Forsberg (202) for third all-time in an Avalanche sweater (since 1995-96) ... The Avs were in the Pacific Division during their first three seasons in Denver (1995-98) but Phoenix was in the Central at that time; the Coyotes shifted to the Pacific in 1998-99 while the Avalanche went to the Northwest ... The Avs and Coyotes split two regular-season meetings last year and the Avs knocked off the Coyotes in five games during the first round of the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs in Edmonton.
