Founded in 1990 in Izmir, Turkey, AST OTOMOTIV A.S. is specialized in the production of Fuel Feed Pumps, Fuel Filters, Fuel Filter Heads, Strainers, Fuel Taps and Repair Kits for Diesel Engine Trucks, Agricultural Tractors, Light Commercial Vehicles, Diesel Marine Engines and Forklifts. Our product range includes more than 300 dierent types of fuel pumps applicable to many brands/models including Massey Ferguson, Chrysler, Cummins, Perkins, Fiat, Iveco, Same, Deutz, Leyland, Landrover, Volvo, Ford, Bedford, Caterpillar, John Deere, Dodge, Magirus, MAN, Valtra, MWM and many more. We export 70% of our production to countries such as; USA, United Kingdom, Italy, Holland, Germany, Greece, Bulgaria and many Middle East and North African countries. Je propose donc d’occulter tout ce qui a constitué des faits de société pour s’en tenir à ce que l’entreprise Renault, par ses employés et dirigeants , a laissé de grandiose à l’histoire industrielle de notre pays et comment l’entreprise créée par les frères Renault a évolué au cours du temps, tout ceci de façon succincte et, dès lors, forcément approximative.. L’ENTREPRISE L’île SEGUIN appelée Billancourt ou le « Paquebot », siège historique de l’usine Louis RENAULT, a été acquise en 1929 et a fermé ses portes le 31 mars 1992, après 70 années de loyaux services et de dur labeur. Il a donc existé une autre adresse durant les 30 premières années, rue Emile Zola, toujours à Boulogne-Billancourt. La dernière voiture produite y fut la Renault Super 5. Le paquebot abrite désormais, à sa proue, la Seine musicale du conseil Général des Hauts-de-Seine.

Within Europe, some market players wanted to align with American standards (to facilitate the creation of a larger market), but others did not (for trade protection). European countries failed to disseminate European standards rapidly because of the strongly opposing views among market players. European carmakers at first opposed American standards because of the technical and financial risks, but met the American criteria nevertheless. Germany and the United Kingdom were key actors in the progressive convergence of European and American standards. In 1972, European car manufacturers banded together to form the Committee of Car Makers of the Common Market. Their secret ambition was to undermine American influence in Europe on exhaust emissions and safety issues. The creation of the Committee corresponded with strong reactions against both the increasing technical barriers to European imports in the United States and to the serious threat posed to European exports by the possible extension of American standards worldwide. My main goal in this paper is to study how vehicle safety standards emerge, evolve, and migrate from one area to another, in an attempt to understand the logic of implementation (or non-implementation) of global regulations. I do not focus primarily on automobile safety innovations as such, but on the standards that follow such industrial improvements. The literature on standards emanates from diverse academic disciplines, including political science, history of technology, engineering, and legal studies.
