Presentation 1 Introduction Teixeira Duarte - Engenharia e Construções, S.A. is 100% owned by Teixeira Duarte, S.A., a company listed on the Lisbon Stock Exchange, and the majority of its capital is held by the Teixeira Duarte Family. Presentation 3 Historical Notes Development of the Company 1921 - “Sociedade Portuguesa de Engenharia, Lda.” is established by Engineer Ricardo Esquível Teixeira Duarte to operate in the field of geotechnical and foundation engineering. 1934 - The company’s name is changed to “Empresa de Sondagens e Fundações, Lda.”, maintaining its core business in the field of geotechnical and foundation engineering. 1939 - The company’s name is changed to “Empresa de Sondagens e Fundações Teixeira Duarte, Lda.”. 1987 - “Empresa de Sondagens e Fundações Teixeira Duarte, Lda.” is transformed into a public limited company, changing its name to “Teixeira Duarte - Engenharia e Construções, S.A.”. 1998 - The company enters the Lisbon Stock Exchange. 2010 - Corporate restructuring with the concentration of capital in a new company called “Teixeira Duarte, S.A.”, a listed company of Teixeira Duarte Group, and “Teixeira Duarte - Engenharia e Construções, S.A.” goes on to focus its business on the construction and public works industry. Presentation 4 Historical Notes Development of the Company’s Activities 1921 - Beginning of operations in the field of geotechnical and foundation engineering. 1969 - Development of the Building, Infrastructure and Metalworking areas with the construction of several buildings and public works. 1978 - In Angola, with the construction and support of the installation of the Microwave Telecommunication System. 1978 - In Venezuela, with the completion of a housing development in Caracas. 1982 - In Mozambique, with the repair of the Bridge over the Zambeze River in Tete. 1990 - In Macau, with the awarding of the new Macau-Taipa Bridge, Amizade Bridge. 1994 - Participation in the “Ponte Vasco da Gama” Concession, in Lisbon, including its construction, operation and maintenance for a period of 30 years, financed under a project finance scheme. This project gave rise to a new model of Public-Private Partnerships in Portugal. 2006 - Acquisition of the Brazilian company “EMPA, S/A”. 2006 - In Algeria, awarding of the project to supply water to Mostaganem, Arzew and Oran. Presentation 5 Integrated Management System and Sustainability Integrated Management System Teixeira Duarte associates the strict fulfilment of its contractual and legal obligations with the improvement of its Human Resources, which are seen as its key asset. The training and human and technical development of people are key to the Company’s activity, in which the skills acquired increase their ability to act in the various aspects of implementation of the Projects. The Company is certified according to standards NP EN ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) in 2002, OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System) in 2006, NP EN ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) in 2008, SA 8000 (Social Responsibility Management System) in 2009, and NP 4457 (Research, Development and Innovation Management System) in 2011, which supports an Integrated Management System, contributing to a common purpose, involving people, ensuring coherent responses, minimising risks, increasing efficiency and optimising resources.
