In its programming, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center highlights different genres and aspects of the Greek music scene, and presents a curated mix of acclaimed performers and up-and-coming artists from different generations and traditions, showcasing the multiple facets of music.

Accordingly, this month, too, the SNFCC presents a rich and varied program of music events: On the first day of April, the ERT National Symphony Orchestra joins onstage the El Sistema Greece orchestra and choir, as well as the Mixed Choir of Thessaloniki, in a live concert featuring classical music and more. On 07/04, Jazz Chronicles presents Yako Trio, made up of young musicians who pay tribute to composer Giannis Konstantinidis. On 13/04, legendary filmmaker, DJ and musician Don Letts lands at SNFCC Sessions for a not-to-be-missed DJ set, as well as an open discussion with radio producer Dimitris Lilis. On 15/04, in a rare concert appearance, Vassilikos will perform his latest music project, Amazing Grey, at the Stavros Niarchos Hall. Finally, on Holy Thursday 25/04, the Camerata – Friends of Music Orchestra performs W.A. Mozart's Requiem.

To celebrate International Dance Day, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center and the Greek National Opera Ballet are holding an all-day celebration of dance on 21/04, with many events taking place across the entire SNFCC venue. The day includes open classes in ballet, salsa, flamenco, tango, capoeira, Greek dances, improvisation, dance group performances, and ballet by the GNO, culminating in a dance party in the Agora.

On 03/04, De Dierentia exhibition opens, attempting to explain why otherness is often hated. 07/04: In Jazz Chronicles, the Yako Trio fuses traditional Greek music and contemporary jazz in an exciting fresh look at composer Yannis Konstantinidis. 13/04: SNFCC Sessions welcome legendary lmmaker, DJ and music artist Don Letts, a pioneer of the British punky reggae movement in the Seventies and Eighties. On 15/04, Vassilikos performs live in a rare concert at Stavros Niarchos Hall, treating us to music from his latest project as well as favorites from the Raining Pleasure period. Sunday 21/04 is dedicated to the celebration of International Dance Day, inviting everyone to a day-long marathon of dance-related events.
