Cartoon by Gabriel Malonzo A Message from Your Principal, Mr. Manning

Hello MoHi Panthers! Here we are at the end of another exciting, eventful, and action- packed school year. It seems like yesterday we were participating at ROAR, getting our classes, books, and lockers last July. Before we knew it Winter Break was here and gone. We are now gearing up for our remaining projects, tests, finals, and summer vacation plans. Seniors are graduating, while freshman, sophomores, and juniors transition into new roles on campus. We have several teachers and staff members retiring after decades of serving students in and out of the classroom to be thankful for as well.

Modesto High School has played a significant role in the lives of students, teachers and parents for close to 140 years. There is always some positive way for each and every student on campus to become involved. Panther Pride is alive and well and continues to grow stronger with each graduating class. I want to thank each student, teacher, and staff member on this campus for an outstanding, memorable, and productive year. I bid farewell and offer best wishes to all graduating and outgoing senior students, while I challenge all returning students to increase your participation, drive, and dedication to being a Modesto High School Panther. Enjoy and make the most of your summer because August 8 will be here before you know it.

One of the best parts of graduating high school for seniors is moving on and discussing what they’re going to do with the rest of their lives. From the minute we’re born, practically, we are asked, “What are you going to do when you grow up?” Now it’s time that we take a look at our demographic, and see where kids are headed after high school. Whether it’s off to a four year college, or the military, or work, or maybe you don’t know yet, we here at the Panther Press, and at Modesto High, are proud of the senior class.
