Since 1996, the Écomusée has been situated in the former Généreux public bath. The building, erected in 1927, long responded to the hygiene needs of numerous neighbourhood residents – those who occupied lodgings without bath and shower installations. The collection includes objects from prehistoric and historic sites (4000 BC), areas occupied by First Nations, the French and English regimes, and the industrial period.
