After breakfast we are going to walk in the streets of Yerevan to discover the hidden corners of this old and new city. We will visit the richest depository of the Armenian manuscripts – Matenadaran, collected since the 5th century, when the Armenian alphabet was created. Drive to The Holy See of Echmiadzin Cathedral (UNESCO Heritage) – one of the first Christian buildings in the world, founded in 301-303, when Armenia officially adopted Christianity as a state religion in 301. On the way back we will visit the archaeological site of Zvartnots, where Zvartnots temple (7th century) is situated

(UNESCO Heritage). Drive to Yerevan. Overnight in Yerevan.

After breakfast at the hotel we will move to the North of Armenia to the Monasteries Haghpat and Sanahin (10th century) inscribed in the UNESCO Heritage list. After a tour in , we will walk to Canyon enjoying the stunning nature. Then the bus will take us to Sanahin,

another unique architectural complex. Overnight in Haghpat.

Dilijan Goshavank Sevan Dilijan

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Dilijan, which gained the name “Little Switzerland” of Armenia, due to its rich nature and mountains. Drive to Lake Parz, from where we will walk to Goshavank Monastery. Afterwards, we will lead our way to – the pearl of Armenia, one of the

highest freshwater lakes in the world. Overnight in Sevan.

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to the medieval , where we will find the highest concentration of (cross-stones) in Armenia. Afterwards, head to Selim Caravanserai, which used to be a place of stay for the merchants on the Silk Road. Our next stop is the oldest observatory in the world, Karahunj or the Armenian Stonehenge, 3500 years older than the Stonehenge in England and 3000 years older than the Egyptian pyramids. Drive to Goris, one of the oldest towns in the South of Armenia.

Khndzoresk Tatev Monastery Devil’s Bridge Khndzoresk After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Khndzoresk. We will walk in Khndzoresk cave village, passing by the edge of a deep canyon. Our next stop will be Halidzor, from where we will take the longest aerial tramway in the world, called Tatever, and reach one of the most wonderful monasteries in Armenia – Tatev. Afterwards we will walk to the Devil’s

Bridge, a fascinating natural beauty. Drive to Jermuk for overnight.

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Amaghu village and start hiking to Noravank Monastery, the only two-floor church in Armenia. From here we will drive to Areni Village. In this area the oldest wine cellar (approx. 6000 years) was discovered. In the Areni wine factory we will taste some Armenian wine. Drive to Khor Virap, the closest point to the Biblical

Yerevan Garni Geghard Yerevan

After breakfast we will head to Garni, the only preserved Pagan Temple in the whole Caucasus area (1st century), from which we will hike to the breathtaking Symphony of Stones and back. We will continue our way to the gorgeous Geghard Monastery, which will be awaiting us. Part of the monastery was carved right inside the cliff in the 4th century. Geghard is listed as UNESCO World Heritage. Drive back to Yerevan. Overnight in

Yerevan.
