IZOCAM´S VISION Being the reliable leader in Turkey and neighbourhood countries, our main objective is to achieve a healthy growth in the sector, to establish insulation and energy saving awareness, to maximize the benefit from insulation in favour of people and consequently, to preserve the environment. INDISPENSIBLE VALUES Our company, active in the insulation sector as a dependable leader both in our country and in neighbor countries since 1965, has always adopted growing and being a model company in every field by being engaged in activities which are beneficial for its country and for the environment as a principle. While realizing these purposes, we have arranged the principles leading us in our working life in order to determine, implement and protect the below values in line with our corporate structure to enhance the recognition and reliability of the brand Izocam both among the workers and in relations of our company with the third persons. Principles of Action Principles of Conduct Respect for the Law Professional Commitment Caring for the Environment Respect for Others Worker Health and Safety Integrity Employee Rights Honesty Solidarity 8 MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN We have celebrated and left behind our 50th year in 2015. As to the forthcoming period, we are targeting to be a stronger, further institutionalized company that carries its leader position within the industry a step further by projecting the knowledge and experience we have gained throughout those 50 years. Izocam will both continue to strengthen its corporate structure and also display the necessary determination and endeavor to work together with its personnel in order to create value for its entire stakeholders. The year we left behind was a period fall short of the mark for some us and one better-than expected for the others. But when we consider the fact that it was a year with a global economic outlook where the oil prices declined, and with our country going through two general elections, 2015 will be remembered as a period full of challenges. Moreover, 2015 was also a year where the regional and political risks are increased as well as the economic ones. Unfortunately, the circumstances in question have affected the economies and countries of the region adversely and this effect continues already. As Izocam, we are enjoying the pleasure of achieving, though hardly, our objectives in 2015 despite both the global and regional uncertainties and increased risks. We generate a net sales revenue of 370 million TL with an increase of 2% compared to 2014. Export sales constituted 63 million TL of the total sales of İzocam in 2015. Our revenue from export has decreased by 7.5% because of the challenges experienced in our export markets even if there is a 4.3% increase in domestic sales in 2015.

FSAPM is reliant on satellite image data sources for prospecting, identifying, recording, and mapping largely unknown archaeological sites as well as studying their landscapes in the region. The purpose is to record and document sites in this endangered area for saving its cultural heritage. The sites in question consist of fortified architectural remains in an ancient border zone between the Graeco-Roman/Byzantine world and Parthia/Persia. The location of the archaeological sites in the terrain and the visible archaeological remains, as well as their dimensions and sizes were determined from the ortorectified satellite images, which also provided coordinates.

  • Mardin from Tales to Legends 2
1 MARDİN FROM TALES TO LEGENDS 2 künye 3 MARDİN FROM TALES TO LEGENDS 4 Introduction Mesopotamia is among those few names in the world that almost everyone is familiar with. Think of a region that is the birthplace of many tools, philosophies, systems and religions. Think of a region that so much that it pioneered has been adopted throughout the world and has played such an important role in shaping everyday lives. Imagine a place which witnessed so much for the first time: first writing system, first state, first city, first water irrigation sysems, first law and many more. Mardin situated right at the centre of this incredibly rich region can therefore be seen as a fortunate city, blessed in history. It has Anatolia on one side and Mesopotamia on the other, an ancient region which transported so many innovations that had originated in the Middle East to the western world. Despite the common assumption, the word Mesopotamia is not of Middle Eastern origin. It comes from the ancient Greek root words mesos (middle) and potamia (rivers) literally meaning “(land) between rivers.” It is curious that although writing was introduced in the region almost 3000 years earlier than in Greece, the region’s name is of Greek origin rather than a Middle Eastern language. In Syriac, Mesopotamia is called Beth Nahrin. Composed of the words beth (house, land) and nahrin (two rivers), it literally means “the land of/between two rivers.” Based on this, it can be deduced that the region was named not by the Greek civilizations of the west but by the people of the region themselves.

  • Byzantine Names for SCA Personae
1 A Short (and rough) Guide to Byzantine Names for SCA personae This is a listing of names that may be useful for constructing Byzantine persona. Having said that, please note that the term „Byzantine‟ is one that was not used in the time of the Empire. They referred to themselves as Romans. Please also note that this is compiled by a non-historian and non-linguist. When errors are detected, please let me know so that I can correct them. Additional material is always welcomed. It is a work in progress and will be added to as I have time to research more books. This is the second major revision and the number of errors picked up is legion. If you have an earlier copy throw it away now. Some names of barbarians who became citizens are included. Names from „client states‟ such as Serbia and Bosnia, as well as adversaries, can be found in my other article called Names for other Eastern Cultures. In itself it is not sufficient documentation for heraldic submission, but it will give you ideas and tell you where to start looking. The use of (?) means that either I have nothing that gives me an idea, or that I am not sure of what I have. If there are alternatives given of „c‟, „x‟ and „k‟ modern scholarship prefers the „k‟. „K‟ is closer to the original in both spelling and pronunciation.
