Anarkali's External Links on IMDb Story: Shantanu reaches Lakshadweep to work as a deep-sea diving instructor, but he is also on a mission to track down someone he has been looking for for the past few years. Inflated egos, red tape and other obstacles with which he struggles during the quest, and the emotional justification for this make up the heart of the plot. Review: The course of true love never runs smoothly, and Sachi Anarkali's debut film is a poignant journey into a few languishing minds living idiom. This is not a new premise by any means, but the director manages to bring in that special chutzpah in his film, with some settings and characteristics, backed up by brilliant acting and a balanced dose of humor. For the past few years, Shantanu (Prithviray) has been trying to find his love for Dame Nadira (Priyal Gore), and he reaches Lakshadwip in the hope of meeting his brother, who works on the island. His friend zacharia (Biju Menon) and several islanders join in to help him in the search. Adrenaline surge macho men and beautiful women, the visual splendor of underwater shots and the sensible story of weaving it all together - the film has a lot to offer. It really benefits from apt casting - whether it's Priyal Gore as the bold and beautiful Nawabi girl, Sudev Nair as her brother, the brave doctor (Mia) or even Renji Panicker as an outspoken relative. Prithviraj burns the screen both with his appearance and the performances of a boy lover, and Biju Menon once again impresses with humor. It's a field day for the cinematographer, since much of the film is set in the picturesque Lakshadweep, often making the film a striking scenery in motion. As for the flaws, a poorly lip-synced song featuring the main character's entry almost takes attention away from the melody and footage. At times, the film also looks like an attempt to sell Lakshadweep as an exotic place. Also, it's a little too long with a running time of almost three hours. The good news is that they haven't spoiled the overall charm of the film and Anarkali comes across as a purely crafted artist.
