Mustn’t forget to mention our highly successful airmarking mission with the Wing Scout Troop No. 149 on November 20th at Smith Center, Kansas. The weather man cooperated beautifully and nine airplanes departed Wichita, carrying 23 Wing Scouts and 12 99s. Everyone had a wonderful time and the Scouts loved the flying! On January 8th, our meeting w,as held at the Municipal Airport, Wichita. This was our “ Guest D ay” , and after a short program “Highlighting 99s” , we toured the airport facilities and had luncheon. Our day was highly success­ ful—of the 18 guests, 13 were pilots and the others, student pilots! Poor ole Montana!
