Azazel Historically, the word azazel is an idea and rarely an incarnate demon. Figure 1 Possible sigil of Azazel. Modern writings use the sigil for the planet Saturn as well. Vayikra (Leviticus) The earliest known mention of the word Azazel in Jewish texts appears in the late seventh century B.C. which is the third of the five books of the Torah. To modern American ( וַיִּקְרָ א ) book called the Vayikra Christians, this books is Leviticus because of its discussion of the Levites. In Leviticus 16, two goats are placed before the temple for selection in an offering. A lot is cast. One Goat is then sacrificed to Yahweh and the other goats is said to outwardly bear all the sends of those making the sacrifice. The text The general translation .( לַעֲזָאזֵל ) specifically says one goat was chosen for Yahweh and the for Az azel of the words is “absolute removal.” Another set of Hebrew scholars translate Azazel in old Hebrew translates as "az" (strong/rough) and "el" (strong/God). The azazel goat, often called the scapegoat then is taken away. A number of scholars have concluded that “azazel” refers to a series of mountains near Jerusalem with steep cliffs. Fragmentary records suggest that bizarre Yahweh ritual was carried out on the goat. According to research, a red rope was tied to the goat and to an altar next to jagged cliff. The goat is pushed over the cliff’s edge and torn to pieces by the cliff walls as it falls. The bottom of the cliff was a desert that was considered the realm of the “se'irim” class of demons. -

Due to the fact that an introductory text in Theology is in dire need of an abridged, albeit brief, tract in Islamic Creed which contains both rational proofs and Qur’anic verses, I was compelled to hastily prepare such a work in the hope that God will accept it and make it for His sake alone. Surely He is near, oft answering! 2 The Ten Principles Verily the principles of each science are ten, Definition, subject matter, benefits gained and then, It’s merit, its subject reference and originator, The name, source of authority, the ruling of the Lawgiver, It’s topic. However some of the ten are deemed sufficient, And whoever grasps them all is most proficient. 1. The Definition Linguistically the word tawhid ‘means to know that something is one’. Whilst in Theology it means ‘to devote oneself to God through worship, with absolute conviction that His Divine Essence, Attribute and Actions are One.’ When synonymous with the science of Theology it is defined as ‘a science that enables a person to affirm religious creed on the basis of absolute proofs.’ 2. -

We are going to go through them briefly together, but it is also super essential you spend time with this journey over the next week! This course is taught from the Angel Tarot, and you can use the Angel Tarot, or the Archangel Power Tarot, both by Doreen Virtue & Radleigh Valentine. Of course this information can be applied to any card deck! The Major Arcana in general are some very powerful cards! In general they hold greater weight and meaning than the “minor arcana” (which are the other suites that will be discussed). They are also referred to as the trump cards and are the foundational piece of the Tarot deck. They make up the first 21 cards in the deck, and tell a really beautiful story. They are representative of a path to spiritual self awareness and unveil the different stages of life as we move thorough our path. They all hold very deep meaningful lessons. The recording in this week goes through those, and it is also important you listen to your own heart in what they mean to you. If a lot of Major Arcana appear, pay attention to two main points: 1. The person you are reading for may be going through some big life changes. 2. The more that appear the less free will and choice that person may have (but of course there is ALWAYS free will and choice). The Major Arcana cards are all numbered, and in the Angel Tarot are associated with an Angel. -

Although the term "devil" comes from the Greek diabolos, the Muslims derived the name from the Arabic, balasa, "he despaired," which can be interpreted "despaired of the mercy of God" but he is also al-Shairan, Satan, and "the enemy of God." The latter aspect of Satan is a commonly shared belief of both Muslims and Christians meaning "he ,سبسل سس The word "Iblis" may be derived from the Arabic verbal root balasa despaired"; therefore, the linguistic meaning of Iblis would be "he/it that causes despair". However, some maintain an etymological derivation from the Greek "Diabolos", from which the English word "Devil" is derived as well. is both a noun and an adjective. As (ش-ط-ن from the root šṭn ,شيطان) "Shayṭān" "Satan" a noun it means "mischief" and as an adjective it means "adversarial," "opposing," or "evil." In popular Islamic culture, Shaitan is often simply translated as "The Devil," but can refer to any of the beings who rebelled against God. Marvin Smith Anyone who has studied Islam from a textbook will find the actual beliefs and practices of Muslims in Africa quite varied from orthodox Islam discussed in textbooks. For Islam has always accommodated the various traditional beliefs of the peoples who have embraced Islam. Becoming a Muslim is quite simple. Anyone who recites the Muslim creed once with sincerity is a Muslim. So the traditional beliefs and practices are carried into Islam. In this article Marvin Smith provides a more realistic assessment of the Muslim beliefs and practices in Africa which centre around traditional African beliefs in mystical powers and the world of spirits, intertwined with Muslim doctrines. Knowing these deeply felt beliefs and fears will create many opportunities to present Christ who alone can deliver from the fears of darkness. PROGRAM NOTES Aleksandra Vrebalov (b. 1970) Pannonia Boundless (1998) Pannonia Boundless was commissioned by Kronos Quartet in 1997. Always open to new experience and eager to explore a new artistic territory, Kronos asked me to do six minutes of virtuosic music that would be based on Gypsy tunes and would employ a specific playing technique of these nomadic musicians. After the research in Novi Sad radio archives and many visits to Gypsy taverns in Vojvodina, I wrote this piece as an homage to those musicians who from the margins of the society, as much as from the well know concert halls, have the power to touch our hearts. Pannonia Boundless was released in 2000 on Kronos Caravan by Nonesuch, on Hello Kronos by Nonesuch, on Pannonia Boundless by TAJJ/SKCNS, and published by Boosey & Hawkes in 2007. It was used in a movie Soupirs d’ame, by a Canadian director Helen Doyle, and in a ballet, The Little Prince, by choreographer Dusan Tynek. February 14, 2013 note: I wrote Pannonia Boundless in my grandmother’s house in Sombor, the same house in which I had stayed during the NATO air-raids in 1999. A neighbor had died as collateral damage. Today I learned that the piece was played by the best band in the world, the US Marine Band, at their chamber music concert in Washington, D.C.
