No doubt that you’ve heard of it. In short: as soon as you drive on the French National Roads with a lorry of more than 3,5 tons, you are obliged to pay Ecotax and therefore you are going to need an ECOTAX BOX!

ECOTAX IS POSTPONED

The introduction of the new Ecotax in France is postponed until the 1st of October 2013 at the earliest. We have also heard that it will be at least December until they will pass this through.

WHY ORDERING AN ECOTAX BOX ALREADY?

As all your license plate numbers will have to be registered with the French Customs and we await large numbers of companies who wish to do so, it is best to have a Box in your lorries on time. This way you don’t run the risk of being too late once the tax is passed through and the French Customs are perhaps unable to get the work done on time.

Of course you will only start paying the Ecotax once this is put online by the French authorities. Until that time, you will simply pay the French and Spanish road tax and the Liefkenshoektunnel with the Ecotax box, the way you are used to.

HOW DO WE DO THIS?

1. We send you an application form by email.

2. You send us an email with the copies of all registration certificates of your lorries.

3. You send us the a signed application form per post.

4. We register all your license plates with the French Customs (for free).

In any case, the Ecotax is starting this year. The French are very busy right now, adjusting the GPS sensitive toll gates. With this box you are also able to tell where your lorries are located at any time.
