The goal of Women’s Leadership Forum is to identify qualified women leaders, develop their leadership skills in a variety of ways, advance them into administrative positions in higher education and assist them with staying power.

Eligibility: LMU faculty and administrators who are interested in leadership development and have completed the Leading Institutional Units and Programs.

v Submit your support letter to Abbie Robinson-Armstrong, Ph.D., Vice President for Intercultural Affairs, by: Monday, September 10, 2018 Apply early as the participation in the Women’s Leadership Forum is on a first-come-first-selected basis.

Number of Women’s Leadership Forum Participants per Academic Year: The President’s Leadership Development Initiative supports a maximum of ten Women’s Leadership Forum participants per academic year.

Keynote Speaker: Ana Navarro

Ana Navarro is an American political strategist and commentator. She was born in . She immigrated to the United States in 1980 at 8 years of age.

She is a Republican strategist with expertise on Latin American, and Hispanic issues.

She also has vast expertise in supporting losing, but principled, Republican candidates. She was the National Hispanic Co-Chair for John McCain’s 2008 Presidential Campaign. She has advised numerous Federal and State campaigns in Florida and nationally. In 2012, she served as National Hispanic Co-Chair for Gov. Jon Huntsman’s Presidential Campaign.

She is one of the leading Hispanic Republican political voices in the United States. She is a political commentator on CNN, ABC, and . She frequently comments on political issues and current affairs in national and international print media. She is known for her honest and blunt commentary and speaking truth to power, often with (attempts at) humor.
