FRIENDSHIP FIRST The Keswick Foundation Sir John Keswick KCMG, Chairman of Jardine Matheson from 1952 to 1956, spent most of his working life in China and Hong Kong. As a child she lived in both Hong Kong and Shanghai and as a result she grew to share her father’s love for all things Chinese. Maggie Caroline Courtauld MBE, compiler and managing editor of this book, would accompany her father on many of his visits to China during the years of the is a former Chairman of the Keswick Foundation. A writer, photographer and Cultural Revolution and so began her love and expertise of the art and philosophy documentary film producer and researcher, she has published books on Burma, of the Chinese garden.
