Additionally worked with the Flow team, re-designing and writing their API. (October 2013 – current) • Programmer – Design Visionaries: wrote Python script that controls Lego NXT which reads data from lasers measuring the depth of a pool. (Summer 2011) • IT Intern – CreaTV San Jose: Worked in a group; updated core systems, wrote BitTorrent file sharing program to use in class, and set up MAP grant computers. (Summer 2011) • Staff In Rotation - Boy Scouts of America, Camp Oljato, California (Summer 2009) MediaWiki development • Core and extension developer with merge (+2) rights • Contributed to and authored multiple extensions to the MediaWiki software, including MassMessage, GlobalCssJs, and Flow. • Leading the configuration overhaul to provide an easy to use web interface to configure MediaWiki. • Wrote a tool to allow the renaming of users across all Wikimedia wikis in coordination with a volunteer. • Contributing to the development of ResourceLoader 2.0, which will provide global user customizations and gadgets across Wikimedia and MediaWiki wikis. • Mentored two Google Sumer of Code projects, one to add proper mail bounce handling to MediaWiki, another to improve the user interface for page lists in MassMessage. • Administrator and bureaucrat on the MediaWiki.org wiki • System administrator for Uncyclopedia, a humorous parody of Wikipedia • Contributor to Pywikibot, a Python framework to interface with the MediaWiki API Wikimedia contributions • Wikipedia administrator and Wikimedian with over 25,000 contributions, and 4 million additional edits made by various automated maintenance scripts. • Wikidata bureaucrat and bot author, attended the 2013 Wikimania conference on Wikimedia Deutschland scholarship for contributions to Wikidata, and presented about the “State of Wikidata”, and participated on the “Ask us Anything About Wikidata” panel.
