All of the skill assignments listed below must be used within your starting lineup for a total of 8. A player may possess two assignments if you wish. Rate your lineup by placing the appropriate notation beside a player’s name on the scoresheet. 1) star hitter (H) 2) star slugger (S) 3) star runner (R) 4) star fielder (F) 5) poor hitter (H-) 6) weak hitter (S-) 7) slow runner (R-) 8) poor fielder (F-) Once a player has a skill assignment, he cannot transfer it to another player. There is one additional skill assignment available for an ace pitcher (X). You may, however, choose not to start one. Make any pitcher a poor hitter as well (H-), so there will be two poor hitters if a pitcher is in the lineup. Game Play Roll the dice for each player who comes up to bat, reading the colored die first and the white die second. If a result occurs on the Batting chart which displays an image of a ballplayer, the inning is considered finished with no further scoring. Draw an X in the box on the scoresheet representing the current hitter’s at-bat. When his team next comes up to bat, the next player in the lineup will hit. If the color of a chart result corresponds to the color of the skill assignment of the player who is currently up to bat, the result changes to the one shown on the bottom of the Batting chart.

Dahbura3 Department of Computer Science Johns Hopkins University Abstract This paper presents the concept of Meaningless Game-Situations (MGS) in Major League Baseball (MLB), defined as situations in which a team has a 95% chance or greater of winning the game given the score at that particular inning in the game. We determine the run differentials for each inning that yield a 95% chance or greater of winning the game based on 2013-2016 MLB statistics and look at individual batter performances under MGS. We argue that including a split for MGS in major baseball statistical references should be considered. I. Introduction Hope springs eternal, especially in the game of baseball. But should it? Perhaps the absence of a game clock in baseball, unlike other major sports, creates the illusion that anything is possible, and in particular that one’s team can overcome even the largest of deficits, even late in the game. And, indeed, significant comebacks from behind are possible, but are so unlikely that in some cases they’re considered to be historic. For instance, in the game between the Pittsburgh Pirates and Philadelphia Phillies on June 8, 1989 the Pirates scored 10 runs in the top of the first inning. The Pirates’ radio broadcaster, Jim Rooker, proclaimed that if the Phillies were to come back from the 10-run deficit he would “walk home”. I lusted after the various sports games advertised in the magazines until my mom finally relented and bought Strat-O-Matic Football for me in 1972. I got SOM’s baseball game a year later and I was hooked. I would get the new card set each year and attempt to play the in-progress season by moving the traded players around and turning ‘nameless player cards” into that year’s key rookies. I switched to APBA in the late ‘70’s because they started releasing some complete old season sets and the idea of playing with those really caught my fancy. Between then and the mid-nineties, I collected a lot of card sets.

Tra le più importanti potremmo citare l’album “Thriller” di Michael Jackson. Probabilmente ciò che ha dato un grande contributo alla sua carriera è stata la sua ampia musicalità e senso ritmico. BIOGRAFIA Nato a Los Angeles il 13 Aprile del 1955, Louis fin da subito mostrò un forte interesse per la musica. Suo padre regalò presto una chitarra a lui e a suo fratello George, che subito cominciarono a suonare a turno. Louis era attratto dalle note gravi e cominciò a suonare le linee di basso che ascoltava sui dischi di artisti come James Brown, The Temptations and The Supremes.. Fu così che suo padre decise di regalargli un basso, e passò poco tempo prima che Johnson cominciò a strappare e percuotere le corde per dare più groove a ciò che suonava. Tutto questo si è evoluto nella tecnica dello Slap, rendendolo un musicista di fama mondiale. As the majority of volunteer guinea-pig experiments are being performed in the Medical Faculty it is hoped that this article will stir them into serious debate. My own feelings on the matter can be best summed up by the following three points, which a patient unavoidably receives is universally regarded as justified on a diagnostic cost-benefit analysis. But in the case of “volunteers” who are irradiated when there is not even claimed to be any benefit to them, the issue of a permissible dose cannot apply. A solution to overcome any possibility of genetic damage being passed on to succeeding generations is to use only subjects who are passed the child-bearing age-not students. In my view any existing hazard that can be avoided and is not avoided is unreasonable. At the present time safeguards to protect students are trying to be worked out. Members of the Medical Faculty insist that they are the best judges as to whether or not a medical experiment should proceed or not. However there are more than just medical considerations involved and I think it is disastrous for students for such decisions to be made only by interested parties. Guincn A satisfactory alternative might be to have all experiments of aknown or potentially hazardous nature referred to a widely represented University Safety Committee (with student representation) for prior vetting.
