Named for two ravines that run through our estate property, Double Canyon wines reflect unique traits resulting from the region’s volcanic activity, ancient glacial deposits, desert soils and the persistent wind that blows off the Columbia River. horse heaven hills CABERNET SAUVIGNON Located between the Columbia River and the Yakima Valley, Horse Heaven Hills is characterized by a dry desert landscape where strong winds blow continuously across the vineyards. The climate and soils here produce Cabernet Sauvignon with ripeness and depth, while maintaining natural acidity. From this relatively large appellation, we focus our efforts around the community of Alderdale, the area we consider capable of the highest quality.
