They should prepare 16 bars of an up-tempo and ballad in the style of the show. They do not need to bring sheet music or audio accompaniment, but it is preferred. There are non-singing roles in this show, so please do not let that stop you from auditioning. Open casting will be considered for all of the roles in the show. In other words, if a role is considered a male role in the script, in this production we may cast with a female or vice versa. Anyone can audition for any role, just be prepared to present your representation of that role at your audition. In other words, do your homework and prepare. You can sing from the show and if you are interested in a specific role, please prepare to sing the song that role sings in the show from the show. Performances for the show are set for Thursday, April 30 thru Sunday, May 3. Two shows will be presented on Saturday, May 2. An understudy performance may be added on Sunday early evening. You are matched with a student from a country you would like to visit, and you stay 3-6 weeks living with your host family. Then you return to open your home to the foreign student giving them the opportunity to experience life in an American household. Recent destinations for American students have included the UK, Japan, Turkey, Italy, Belgium, France and Spain, but there are a host of other countries which Rotary works with to make a successful match for all. If you would like more information, please call the local Rotarians supporting the program: Kathi Perkins [email protected] or Dick Hall at [email protected]. Act quickly, as summer will be here before you know it and there is a lot to coordinate in a short period of time.

KENNEBUNK HIGH SCHOOL “Preparing responsible, contributing citizens in a global society.” Susan F. Cressey, Principal Bruce A. Lewia, Assistant Principal Jason J. Sullivan, Assistant Principal International Students, It would be an honor to welcome you to Kennebunk High School. We believe that we offer an exceptional educational experience with courses ranging from Advanced Placement to International Baccalaureate to STEM. Our students are very engaged in the learning process and are encouraged to look at information from different perspectives. They must do more than just memorize content; they have to apply the content as they work on labs in science, have Socratic Seminars in literature classes, participate in roundtable discussions on history and current events, and use foreign languages to do research and make presentations. Kennebunk High School also offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities. Forty percent of our students play on sports teams, including, but not limited to: basketball, baseball, soccer, lacrosse, skiing, tennis and wrestling. Our school offers more than thirty clubs, which meet after school and in the evenings. Student Council, for example, offers a forum for student discussions, and the Future Business Leaders of America Club runs the school store. From Improv to Debate to the Radio Club, many students pursue an area of interest outside of the academic curriculum. Kennebunk High School serves the towns of Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, and Arundel. These towns, which offer social and economic diversity, also serve as bedroom communities for industries and commercial establishments in surrounding towns and cities. Our unique location affords recreational activities along the coastline of Maine, as well as easy access to the Boston area.
