New Delhi ““ Visakhapatnam AC AP Express Train Via Vijaywada Flagged Off Beat: News New Delhi ““ Visakhapatnam AC AP Express Train Via Vijaywada Flagged Off Providing Connectivity New Delhi, India, 13.08.2015, 16:50 Time USPA NEWS - On this grand occasion, it was also announced that 12723/12724 New Delhi-Hyderabad Andhra Pradesh Express will be renamed as 12723/12724 New Delhi - Hyderabad Telangana Express with effect from 15.11.2015. The Indian Railways takes yet another step forward in meeting the long pending demands of the people by providing connectivity from Delhi to the State of Andhra Pradesh and the newly formed State of Telengana by introducing a new train service viz. 22415/22416 New Delhi ““ Visakhapatnam AC AP Express via Vijaywada announced in the Railway Budget 2014-15. The Train service was flagged off through remote control by the Union Minister of Railways Mr. Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu on Aurgust 12, along with Union Minister of Urban Development Mr. M. Venkaiah Naidu, Union Minister of Civil Aviation Mr. Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Union Minister of State for Labour & Employment Mr. Bandaru Dattatreya, Union Minister of State for Science & Technology Mr. Y.S. Chowdary and other Members of Parliament from the State. The remote control set up was done by establishing video-conferencing between Rail Bhawan (New Delhi) and Visakhapatnam (Vizag) Station. Several Members from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana were present on the occasion at Rail Bhawan end. Some Members of Parliament and MLAs were among those present at the Vizag Station end. On this occasion, it was also announced that 12723/12724 New Delhi-Hyderabad Andhra Pradesh Express will be renamed as 12723/12724 New Delhi-Hyderabad Telangana Express with effect from 15.11.2015. One of the passengers in an e-ticket should carry proof of identification during the train journey. 3. Voter ID card/ Passport/PAN Card/Driving License/Photo Identity Card Issued by Central/State Government are the valid proof of identity cards to be shown in original during train journey. 4. The input for the proof of identity in case of cancellation/partial cancellation is also not required now. 5. Indian Railways will start operations of 200 passenger services as listed in the annexure. These trains shall run from 1/6/2020 and booking of all these trains will commence from 10 am on 21/05/20. These special services shall be in addition to the existing Shramik special trains being run since 01st May and Special AC trains (30 trains) being run since 12th May 2020. Other regular Passenger services including all mail/express, passenger and suburban services shall remain cancelled until further advice. Train Type: Special trains on the pattern of Regular Trains These will be fully reserved trains having both AC & Non AC classes. General (GS) coaches shall also have reserved seat for sitting. There will be no unreserved coach in the train. Fare shall be as normal and for General (GS) coaches, being reserved, second seating(2S) fare shall be charged and seat will be provided to all the passengers. Booking of Tickets & Charting: i. Only online E-Ticketing will be done through IRCTC website or through Mobile App. No tickets will be booked across the reservation counter on any Railway Station. The city of Indore is sometimes called Ahilyanagari in her memory.
