The trio are synonymous with Irish music both in their own individual right and as members of some of this country’s most famous traditional bands, dating from the early 1970s to the present day. All are multiple award winners who have made outstanding contributions to traditional Irish music. This is a show not to be missed by all traditional Irish music lovers. Having smashed the circumnavigation cycling world record twice in his career, he now holds this 18,000 mile title in a time of 78 days and 14 hours, averaging 240 miles a day. Over the past decade Mark’s epic documentaries have taken viewers to over 100 countries, into the Arctic, the high mountains and around the Commonwealth, also surviving capsize in the mid-Atlantic. (Sung in English with English surtitles.) “one of the sweetest yet most lushly captivating scores in the entire operatic repertory” – New York Times Limerick Youth Theatre presents Creative Show THU 12TH & FRI 13TH MARCH | 8pm Tickets: €12/€10 Written and directed by Myles Breen The Creative Show is a comic family show written and directed by Myles Breen with movement pieces devised and choreographed by Angie Smalis and Jane Toal performed by members of Limerick Youth Theatre, service users from the Daughters of Charity Service (Limerick) featuring the Laurel Hill Coláiste FCJ and Ardscoil Rís choirs and Lumen Street Theatre. This collaboration is in its tenth year, LYT members, service users, choir, dancers and musicians rehearse together over the course of three months culminating in over one hundred participants performing for two evenings at the Lime Tree Theatre. This classic Lloyd Webber musical is based on the biblical story of Joseph from the book of Genesis. We follow the journey of Joseph, and his “coat of many colours”, who is betrayed by his jealous brothers and sold to slavery. This stunning and colourful musical always proves a big hit with audiences young and old.
