Fiddle

Stephen & Claire Gallagher–Kilcar: having played together for many years in sessions, on stage and in various projects, have developed a repertoire and form that respects both their styles. Both are well respected fiddlers among their peers. Both Stephen and Claire teach annually at the Cairdeas na bhFidileírí fiddle summer school in Glencolmcille and they show huge respect for passing on the music of the area to ensure it continues and remains a strong focus in the locality

Peter Carr – Kilcar. A fine fiddle player, and a musician of great ability. Peter is the Grandson of world famous fiddle player Francie Dearg Byrne. Peter has taught fiddle at the Kilcar Fleadh workshops and the Cairdeas na bhFidileírí fiddle summer school in Glencolmcille in the past. Tin Whistle

Teresa Lavin hails from Carrowmore-Lacken, a small musical area in Mayo. Her grandfather Philip Lavin, a renowned flute player, introduced her to traditional Irish music at the age of 4. Since then Treasa has won numerous titles at provincial and All Ireland levels.She has performed Irish music worldwide at numerous concerts and festivals and has worked with many recording musicians including her brother Padraic Lavin (Osna). Treasa is highly regarded by her fellow traditional musicians for her distinctive lilting style.

Guitar

Derek Williamson with an in-depth understanding of both Scottish and Irish Trad style. He was well known in Scotland for his singing and played with the band Calasaig before moving to Donegal in 2001 to study music. Since then he has earned a well-deserved reputation as one of the finest exponents of Scottish and Irish song being in great demand around Donegal and further afield.

Accordian

Tom Byrne is a musician of astounding ability not only on the accordion but also on the harmonica, for which he has received widespread critical acclaim. He has played all over Ireland and further afield including Shetland, and Rumania in various partnerships with groups and individual musicians. Debut Album: “Tom Byrne” with Frankie Gavin, Carl Hession, Paul O Driscoll & Laurence Doherty.

Dancing Clement Gallagher is well known and has taught dancing at many workshops throughout Ireland. With his easy going approach, he has everyone enjoying the dance class in no time. A great tutor of the following: Ceili, Set dancing, Two Hand & Sean Nós. Clement will also be the caller at the crossroads dance & ceili during the Kilcar Fleadh.
