Howdy! My name is Mike Linam, and it’s my honor to again serve as President of the Highland Lakes A&M Club for 2018.

Over the past year, our local Aggies have gathered together for Aggie Muster, the Tailgate Party against UCLA and the Howdy Aggie Bash!

Our Muster Speaker for 2017 was Jim Harris ‘83. Jim has been a High School Ag Science Teacher in Tilden for 33 years. Jim seemed to have an almost encyclopedic recall of all things Aggie and Texas. With his big gray mustache and larger than life personality, you’d have thought he walked right off the set of Lonesome Dove. That was a Muster we won’t soon forget, as we honored our Aggie brethren who’ve passed on before us and awarded scholarships to another impressive group of future Aggies.

We also had a heck of a great time for the first half of the UCLA game at the Tailgate party we held at the Hole in 1 in HSB in September. The second half was not so fun… Then in January of 2018, we had the great privilege of having A&M’s Head Baseball Coach, Rob Childress, speak to us at the Aggie Howdy Bash at Quail Point. Boy what a treat that was! Our baseball team is no doubt in great hands with Coach Childress at the helm!

We as a Board want to thank you for your generous support throughout the past year. It is your steadfast commitment to the Club/Foundation that allows us to have quality events and a strong scholarship offering. The scholarship program is a key driver in all we do and we need your help again this year to keep it going by giving to the scholarship program as Spirit Sponsors.

I want thank Amanda Fancher for her dedication to the Club as President last year. Amanda has moved back to Austin, so we are going to miss her spirit and fantastic organizational skills! I’m also excited to welcome our newest Board Member, Kathleen Kokernot ‘08. Kathleen is a Realtor with Kuper Sotheby’s Int’l Realty in HSB and her husband Ryan Jones, is the Director of Operations at the HSB Resort. Welcome Kathleen!

I’m looking forward to another great year! We have Muster and the Aggie Classic Golf Tournament just around the corner in April! Hope to see you there!

Gig’em,

-Mike Linam ‘95 Club President

To ensure this great tradition of awarding scholarships continues each year, we’ve established our Spirit Sponsor Program. Our Spirit Sponsors donate annually to the Foundation Scholarship Fund. Please consider making an annual contribution to this program.

Page 4 CORPORATE SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM

Part of our mission as an organization is to bring local Aggies together at annual events such as Aggie Muster, Coach’s night and various other events. Corporate Sponsorships allow us to put on quality events that are fun to attend. These sponsors ensure that we have the funds needed to cover the additional operating costs of the club beyond what membership dues and event entry fees cover.

In years where we have enough funds on hand to cover the events for the club for the next year, we will devote the funds from Corp Sponsors directly to the scholarship foundation to help replenish the scholarship fund. 2018 will be such a year and consequently, your Corporate Sponsor donations will be tax deductible.

Become a 2018 Corporate Sponsor Today! You don’t have to be a business owner to be a corporate sponsor. However, if you own a business, this is a great way to support the Club and promote your business to local Aggies.

What’s included in the Corporate Sponsorship package? · Your Logo on every page of the New & Improved Website (www.highlandlakesaggies.com) · Recognition in the Club Newsletter · Your Logo featured as a Table Centerpiece at all Club Events · Your Logo or Your Name prominently displayed on the Corp Sponsor Banner at all Club Events Your Logo displayed on a Hole Sign and the Corp Sponsor Banner at the 2018 Golf Tournament
