Oldtimer Des Monats Mai 2016 Lancia Appia Convertibile Vignale Oldtimer des Monats Mai 2016 Lancia Appia Convertibile Vignale - Bj 1959 Ps/kW:53/39 bei 5200U/min, V4 Zylinder Viertaktmotor Wassergekühlt, 1089ccm, Leergewicht: 920kg, Höchstgeschwindigkeit: 143km/h, Verbrauch: 8l/100km/h, Bauzeit: 1956 - 1963, Stückzahl: 1.584, Der Lancia Appia ist ein PKW-Modell des Automobil- Herstellers Lancia, das von Frühjahr 1953 bis Herbst 1963 in drei wesentlich unterschiedlichen Serien gefertigt wurde. Die erste Serie (1953–1956) wurde in 20.005 Exemplaren, die zweite (1956–1959) in 22.424 Exemplaren und die dritte (1959–1963) in 55.577 Exemplaren gebaut. Der Appia war teurer als der Fiat 1100 und nicht so schnell wie der Alfa Romeo Giulietta. Wie schon der Fiat 1100 vor dem Krieg hat er keine B-Säule, so dass sich mit den gegenläufigen Türen ein großer Raum öffnet. Der Vierzylinder V-Motor mit eng zusammenstehenden Zylindern (Bankwinkel 10,14°) hat zwei untenliegende Nockenwellen, halbkugelförmige Brennräume und eine zweifach gelagerte Kurbelwelle. Die Vorderräder waren einzeln an einer Geradeführung mit Schiebehülsen aufgehängt, hinten war eine Starrachse an Blattfedern mit Teleskopstoßdämpfern eingebaut. Der Wagen hatte eine einfache Schneckenlenkung und an allen Rädern gab es hyd- raulisch betätigte Trommelbremsen. Außer der Limousine wurden zwei Coupé-Versionen von Zagato, eine von Pininfarina sowie ein Cabriolet von Vignale produziert. Ebenso gab es auf Basis der dritten Serie eine Kombiversion "Giardinetta" (von Viotti). Vignale wurde dann gewählt, um eine Cabrio-Version des Appia zu bauen. Der Lancia Appia Convertibile wurde von Giovanni Michelotti entworfen. Auf dem Turiner Autosalon 1957 vorgestellt und bis zu 1962 zunächst als Zweisitzer gebaut, später wurde er überarbeitet und um die beiden hinteren Sitze erweitert. Ab Sommer 1968 entstand ein 2 + 2 Cabrio. Alle Convertibiles wurden auf einem Appia-Chassis aufgebaut. Die erste Serie mit einem 53 PS-Motor, im Jahr 1959 54 PS- Motor und schließlich im Jahr 1960 auf dem stärkeren 60 PS Motor. Von 1956 bis 1963 1.584 Cabrios gebaut wurden. Das Unternehmen wurde von Alfredo Vignale (1913–1969) im Jahr 1946 un- ter dem Namen Carozzeria Alfredo Vignale in Turin gegründet. Alfredo Vignale hatte bereits bei der Firma Stabilimenti Farina (nicht zu verwechseln mit Pinin- farina, einst getrennt „Pinin Farina“ geschrieben) Berufserfahrung gesammelt und wollte nunmehr seine eigenen Karosserien anbieten. Der überwiegende Teil aller bei Vignale gebauten Wagen sind allerdings von seinem persönlichen Freund und selbständigen Designer Giovanni Michelotti gestaltet, mit dem er stets eine enge Zusammenarbeit pflegte. Die erste eigene Karosserie auf Basis eines Fiat 500 Topolino wurde im Jahre 1948 hergestellt, gefolgt von einem Fiat 1100 in Sonderausführung. In den 1950er- und 1960er-Jahren entstanden bei Vignale als formschön und elegant geltende Karosserien auf technischer Basis unter anderem von Fiat, Cisitalia, Ferrari, Lancia, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, BMW, Tatra und für De Tomaso. Außer Einzelstücken und Kleinserien wurden auch Se- rienfahrzeuge karossiert, so zum Beispiel das Appia- und Flavia-Cabriolet und die Maserati 3500 Spider, Sebring I, Sebring II, Mexico, aber auch Kleinwagen wie der Daihatsu Compagno. Vignale baute einige wenige Aluminium-Karosserien, aber die meisten seiner Karosserien waren aus Stahlblech. Der Versuch, auf Dauer eine eigene Marke zu etablieren, hatte keinen Erfolg. Alfredo Vignale ver- kaufte seine Firma 1969 an die Carrozzeria Ghia, einem weiteren Turiner Designstudio, das je- doch seit einigen Jahren De Tomaso gehörte und starb wenige Tage nach dem Verkauf am 16. Alfieri Maserati, in questo periodo, progetta una candela di accensione per motori, con la quale nasce a Milano la Fabbrica CANDELE MASERATI infine progetta un prototipo con base telaio ISOTTA- FRASCHINI, ottenendo numerose vittorie, seguirà la collaborazione con la DIATTO, infine tra il 1925/26, mesce la mitica MASERATI TIPO 26, rivelandosi poi, un'automobile vincente. Il 1929 sarà l'anno della creazione di una 2 vettura la V43000, con oltre 300 CV, la quale raggiungerà i 246 Km/ h, oltre ad altre mitiche vittorie automobilistiche.

    LANCIA CA 1961 APPIA GTE ZAGATO 2707 SOLD Lancia 1961 Appia GTE At the November 1958 Turin Motor Show the new Lancia Appia GTE (standing for Gran Turismo Esportazione) was introduced, and deliveries started in January 1959 The GTE marked an important change in the relationship between Zagato and Lancia: it was the first Zagato car to be included in Lancia’s price lists and sold by Lancia dealers. For Lancia Zagato went from a buyer of chassis to an official supplier of specially bodied finished cars. First shown to the public at the 1958 Turin Motor Show, the first GTEs were delivered in early 1959. GTE bodywork was more low slung and streamlined than its predecessors’. The car had a continuous waistline, without the previous humps over the rear wheels; the nose was longer, V.O.F. During 1960 the improved Lancia V4 engine of 1089cc which developed 60 HP was adopted. The engine had a new Weber carburetor and an inlet manifold with a duct per each cylinder.
