NATIONAL TASK FORCE CORONAVIRUS DIEASE-2019 SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES as of 01 May 2020 Sources: Agency Reports and Regional Task Forces COVID-19 Significant Activities Reports NATIONAL LEVEL Bureau of Fire Protection The BFP provided assistance in terms of community monitoring as well as the provision of support in management of checkpoints. The bureau also established decontamination facilities in selected major control points identified by the IATF-MEID. As instructed by the Joint Task Force Coronavirus Shield (JTF CV SHIELD) Coomander, the bureau also provided security assistance to DSWD for the implementation of the Emergency Subsidy Program. Department of Foreign Affairs The DFA has facilitated the repatriation of Overseas Filipinos (OFs) who were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic all over the world. The distressed OFs were assisted by the Philippine Embassies and Philippine Consulates General. Department of Agriculture Institutionalized the DA COVID-19 Food Resiliency Task Force Hotline. Continuous coordination with Regional and Provincial PNP, and concerned LGUs to resolve issues on unhampered movement of all food and production items through food lanes and the free movement of farmers, fishers and agribusiness personnel for continuous farming, fishing and agribusiness activities by reminding them to follow the issuance of the Department and the IATF-EID. Spearheaded the direct coordination and market matching to penetrate the barangays and subdivisions. Daily price monitoring of agricultural and fishery commodities in public markets. Provided assorted vegetables seeds for those livelihoods affected by the pandemic in support of Urban Agriculture. The Financial Subsidy for Rice Farmers Program was implemented as part of Social Amelioration measures. Department of Education The Department of Education issues Policy Directives to provide, among others, measures for the prevention and control of the COVID-19 in Basic Education Schools and DepEd Offices; the formation/activation of DRRM Teams to combat the virus; and safety precautions and protocols and reporting templates. Prevention and control measures include placing travel limitations and restrictions and guidelines for DepEd activities. Convened education cluster partners and other external partners in online meetings for the collaborations on education continuity strategies amidst COVID-19 Conducting a nationwide consultation with stakeholders and education experts in preparing a Learning continuity plan on “how to deliver education to learners is also being prepared in case the opening of classes gets pushed back”. Globe E-skwela Webinar on “Making Homes the extended classroom: Parent-Teacher Collaboration during COVID-19 on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at 10 AM Conducted MHPSS Webinar Series in 3 Clusters (Luzon Visayas and Mindanao) with a total of 593 trained personnel Collated Letters of Hope from Learners. Provided to partners for printing and distribution to Frontliners Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation (PDRF) The PDRF Emergency Operations Center (EOC) has coordinated for the implementation of various response efforts through the member companies and network. They have also distributed food provisions to hospitals, Project Ugnayan, and Project Kaagapay. World Vision As member of the NDRRMC and in support to government efforts in responding to COVID-19, World Vision is implementing its Health Emergency Response with major outcomes/activities on: Improved capacity of health facilities through provision of PPEs, Disinfectant Kits and Tents for Isolation/Triage/Mobile Hospital Affected populations provided relevant infection prevention and control measure like Sanitation Kits and education, information materials in different platform Provide affected population temporary source of income through cash-based programming Police Community Affairs and Development Group Police Community Affairs and Development Group in partnership with PCEC/PHILRADS distributed 200 pieces of N95 and 600 Peva Coats to each of the following hospitals: Dr. Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center San Juan Medical Center Victor Potenciano Hospital East Ave Medical Center St. Martin de Porres Charity Hospital Rizal Medical Center Pasig Doctors Hospital World Citi Medical Center Police Community Affairs and Development Group in partnership with PCEC/PHILRADS conducted distribution of relief goods to 400 Families in Payatas, Quezon City. Police Community Affairs and Development Group in partnership with PCEC/PHILRADS picked up 400 bags of 25 kg rice, 4,000 pieces of canned goods, 300 bottles of alcohol, 800 pieces of bath soap / bar soap to be distributed to the COVID-19 infected areas. Police Community Affairs and Development Group in partnership with PCEC/PHILRADS distributed 250 packs of goods at Bgy Talon Uno and Talon Cinco, Las Piñas in line with “Adopt a Community Project” of PNP. Police Community Affairs and Development Group personnel picked up disinfectant alcohol at Ginebra San Miguel Corporation Incorporated, Cabuyao plant to be distributed to the frontliners. REGIONAL LEVEL National Capital Region Metro Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MMDRRMC) DSWD-NCR As of today, April 16, 2020, the FO-NCR is facilitating the repacking of an estimated number of 50,000 family food packs. The supplies are expected to be delivered today or tomorrow, April 17, 2020; As of 25 April 2020, 145,600 food packs were distributed. Metro Manila Council (MMC) The Metro Manila Council promulgated and strongly recommended to all Local Legislative Councils of the NCR to issue ordinances for CURFEW from 8:00pm to 5:00am subject to necessary guidelines as deem necessary. Social distancing and community quarantine must be adopted Metro Manila Ayala Malls are directed to close at 7:00pm, March 14, 2020 to prioritize the health and safety of everyone. Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (LDRRMC) CDRRMC Pasig City Signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between Pasig City Government and The Medical City (TMC) to address backlogs of testing persons for possible infection of the COVID-19. Continuous monitoring of 163 PUIs, 249 confirmed cases, 43 deaths and 48 recoveries as of 18-19 April 800H-200H Continuous monitoring of 122 probable, 79 suspected, 274 confirmed cases of COVID19, 49 deaths and 63 recoveries as of 23-24 April 0800H-0800H Partnered with Rotary Club of Makati for the provision of a 16-bed isolation area to be used as a “Step-Down Facility”.
