Foreign Citizens and Social Services - User’s guide 1) Registration To National Health Service 1) Registration To National Health Service A foreign citizen must be registered with the National Health Service adressing to the premises listed below. The service releases a document, the "Sanitarv Card", necessarv to obtain any health-care service. The Card indicates the family doctor selected. Babys O-14 y. old can have a paediatrician. The service of both the family doctor and the paediatrician are free.

This card is obligatory for whoever deals in food industry (production, preparation, aministration, manipulation, sale, transport shod, bakerv, slaughterhouse, food storing, fruitworking,). This card is also obligatory for anyone working in restaurants, bars, pastry making. This card is renewable every year, you must take it to your workplace. It’s released by the Public Hygiene Service which can you give other information for your job.

It's a widespred infectious disease that attacks lungs, or other parts of the body. It's transmissiblc by respiratory tract, cough, sneeze. The principal symptoms are: fever, cough, weight loss, feebleness, nocturnal sweating. It's easy to take if you work or live in overcrowded, cold, or damp places; If you are HIV positive, drug or alcool addicted, and if you live close to other people who swiffer from lung tubercolosis. It's an infectious desease and can be trasmitted by a femal guat (Anopheles). In most cases the symptoms are: fever, sweating, shiver, headache etc. They are more mild on babys. 40% world's popolation uve on territorys where malaria is always present (South of Africa, Middle East, Far East, Central and South America). If you have visited some of these countries, you may see some symptoms after some months. You must talk with a doctor. If you have to go to these countries, go to the Public Hygiene Service, where you can have information, advice, etc.

It's an infectious desease, due to a virus (HIV) and is characterized by many different symptomes, caused by the loss of organism immune defence. The virus is transmissible by infected blood (shafing of needles, syringes, or cutting instruments), by intercourse with infected person, or by an infected mother to the baby. The person infected by HIV, may show no symptoms. If you think you run a contagion risk, it's necessarv to make a blood test anti-HIV. This examination is recommended for: • whoever has intercourse with differents partners without condoms; • use drugs by intravenous injection; • pregnancy;
