Cathedral Supervisor x 2/3 (Part Time/ Seasonal) Two new exciting vacancies have become available at the Cathedral in Inverness. COVID-19 has changed much and that includes the welcome we offer to visitors to Inverness and the Cathedral. Inverness Cathedral celebrated 150 years of worship and being open in 2019 and none of us could have envisaged what 2020 would bring for us all. The Cathedral is located on the River Ness in what is becoming known as the cultural quarter of the city of Inverness, with our neighbours Eden Court and located next door to the Northern Meeting Park. Whilst 2020 is different, the cathedral usually welcomes many thousands of visitors arriving in Inverness from cruise ships and the coaches that bring them to the city, alongside those who are independent travellers and local people coming to visit the building. A visitor to the building may be visiting to admire the building with its architecture, stained glass windows and wonderful wood carving, others come for one of the daily services of worship, whilst others come to sit quietly, to pray and/or to light a candle. The cathedral is a significant landmark in the city and was designed by the famous Inverness architect, Alexander Ross. The Cathedral has a café and shop located in the grounds of the cathedral. The Cathedral Office is located in a separate building in Kenneth Street, where our inSpire Project is run from. The Cathedral also has a denomination school, Bishop Eden Primary School on King Street.
