SEVEN FROM SUNDAY – WEEK 5

A look at seven statistical highlights from games played at 1:00 p.m. ET and 4:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, October 9, the fifth week of the 2016 season.

 Dallas rookie DAK PRESCOTT passed for 227 yards and rookie running back rushed for 134 yards in the Cowboys’ 28-14 win over Cincinnati. Prescott has 1,239 passing yards and Elliott has 546 rushing yards this season. The Cowboys are the first team in NFL history to have a rookie quarterback with at least 1,000 passing yards and a rookie running back with at least 500 rushing yards in the first five games of a season.

 Minnesota quarterback completed 22 of 30 passes (73.3 percent) for 271 yards with two and no for a 123.1 in the Vikings’ 31-13 win over Houston. The Vikings improved to 5-0 and have not thrown an this season. Minnesota is only the second team since 1933 to start 5-0 without throwing an interception, joining the 1969 Los Angeles Rams.

 Pittsburgh quarterback completed 34 of 47 passes (72.3 percent) for 380 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions for a 124.4 passer rating in the Steelers’ 31-13 win over the New York Jets. Roethlisberger has thrown a pass in 41 consecutive home games, the third-longest streak in NFL history.

Roethlisberger has 15 touchdown passes this season, the most ever by a Steelers quarterback in the first five games of a season.

 New England quarterback completed 28 of 40 passes (70.0 percent) for 406 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions for a 127.7 passer rating in the Patriots’ 33- 13 win at Cleveland. Brady has 38 career games with at least 350 passing yards, the second-most in NFL history (, 51).

The victory marked the 250th career win (including the postseason) for Patriots head coach . Belichick is the fourth head coach in NFL history with at least 250 career victories, joining Pro Football Hall of Famers DON SHULA (347), GEORGE HALAS (324) and TOM LANDRY (270).

 Denver rookie quarterback made his first career start against Atlanta. Lynch is the fifth rookie quarterback to start a game this season, joining Dallas’ DAK PRESCOTT (five starts), Philadelphia’s (four), Cleveland’s CODY KESSLER (three) and New England’s JACOBY BRISSETT (two). That is tied with 2012 for the most rookie to start a game in the first five weeks of a season in the past 25 years.

 Indianapolis running back FRANK GORE rushed for 75 yards in the Colts’ 29-23 win over Chicago. Gore has 12,368 career rushing yards and passed Pro Football Hall of Famer JIM BROWN (12,312) to move into 9th place in NFL history.

 Washington’s JAMISON CROWDER (85 yards), Minnesota’s MARCUS SHERELS (79) and Miami’s (74) each had a punt-return touchdown today. It marks the first time in NFL history that there were three punt-return touchdowns of at least 74 yards on the same day.
