· III Workshop: Arquitecturas Colectivas I Planning phase: Parque de la Amistad 2021 I Barrio Obrero San Ciprián, Puerto Rico [Design build project in collaboration with students [industrial design, graphic design, architecture, and others] to provide the Parque de la Amistad with el storytelling: práctica alternativa de diseño participativo. What are the ways to build together? How can we develop a project thought from the spatial, collective and personal imaginary? Naturally, narrating is a significant start. Telling stories is inclusive, familiar and close. The narration occurs from: the personal, the communal and the spatial. It is an expression created from the imagination located in the urban. Storytelling from the relational, spatial and contextual aspects try to (d)escribir a story / space using three storytelling techniques for presentation. First, the invention of a trip where the child is called to go through a sequence of events, second, the story that is constructed using three or more fables together, and, finally, the story that compare what is with what could be. This alternative participatory design practice builds the semantics in design. The project joins a series of spaces in the community linked by the friendship told. · Body and the Archive: Doña Margot’s maquinolandera + Maelo’s casa-museo I Research phase: la vivienda popular y la experiencia de la Casa Museo Ismael Rivera 2021. Casa Museo Ismale Rivera Santurce, Puerto Rico. · Re-Imagine Lincoln Street: Participatory Design Workshop I Green Hill Community Worcester, MA. June - August 2019. What to do about Lincoln Street? What makes a great place? Why we go back to some streets more often that others? Lincoln Street should be a street you go to, not just through; inviting, safe, accessible, designed for walking and lingering. Lincoln Street is a street for All. Therefore, the Green Hill community should feel that by encouraging encounters for residents results in a street that contributes to people’s health, happiness, and well-being. The street, like a city, can become an enjoyment when it accommodates people’s real needs and exhibits a sense of community. Collaborating in a participatory design workshop (PDW) helps to understand the scale of the street, articulate needs, recognize public space, highlight everyday use spaces, reclaim the street from traffic, agree on the way it should be designed, and select the activities that should take place. In the end, the street as a place is about strengthening the connection of people and the places they share. · Project: Disaster Relief Community Cores I Capetillo, Río Piedras 2019 Design Build with Associate Professor Farzana Gandhi from the New York Institute of Technology, NYC. EXHIBITIONS

2020 “Untitled” 2020 Medium: photography. PROTEST opened on September 25, 2020. Kirkland Gallery Harvard University GSD. Virtual Presentation October 6, 2020. https://protest.gsdkirklandgallery.com/#Yazmin-Crespo Text: Take me back to the cacerolazos del Verano del 19 in Puerto Rico. I hit la olla con el cucharón every night at eight with a fragile heart and a resilient will. ¡Somos más y no tenemos miedo! -a protest mantra. As their/our curly texture hair was ready for disobedience, my asymmetrical haircut confronted one sided thinking. My hair is my Resistencia! My flag is my Resistencia! 2019 Mapping the X walk. Installation sculpture and Performance. November 5, 2019. Harvard University Quad. Text: “We didn’t cross the border. The border crossed us. Yo no crucé la frontera. La frontera me cruzó.” In undertaking this path, I was faced with a narrative problem. The border allows for more than one single interaction to be represented. Therefore, we transformed a text that does not recount only one experience, but un vínculo de experiencias, with no precise temporality, into a ‘living’ shadow. As we get closer to the fence the shadows received us as a product of the perspective ‘moved’ by sunlight. The power of the shadow: revealing diverse border stories. Each student spoken word disclosed multiple lived experiences. They traced an affective cartography, rendering the shadows alive. 2017 taller Creando Sin Encargos, Escuchando las Voces Primera Exhibición del diseño Participativo en Puerto Rico I San Juan, Puerto Rico: May -July 2017 I featuring taller Creando Sin Encargos recent projects 2014 texto : especial hombres, Feria de Cultura Urbana, FCU I Estación de Tren Urbano I Cupey, PR: October 28 - November 2, featuring installation 2012 Biblio-park[ing], Parking Day I Ave. Ashford in Condado, PR: September 21, featuring installation 2012 WORK, AIA Exhibition I taller de Artes Binarios I Santurce, PR: August 31, featuring taller Creando Sin Encargos recent projects 2011 PARKInside: open space in San Juan, I San Juan, Puerto Rico: September 16, featuring installation 2007 Diagram: a diary, NYIT School of Architecture Faculty Exhibition I New York, NY: February 1-15, featuring drawing/collage 2006 Faculty Works, NYIT School of Architecture Faculty Exhibition I New York, NY: August 20 - December 6, featuring recent projects 2005 Commencement Exhibition, Gund Hall Gallery I Harvard University Graduate School of Design, work nominated/selected 2000 Berlin Spreeinsel, Online Gallery I Cornell University School of Architecture, work nominated/selected 1996 UIA Barcelona 96’ Competitions XIX Congrés de la Unió Internacional d’Arquitectes Exhibition, Museo Marítimo I Barcelona, featuring award winning project.
