Peter Cushing Interview: For the Love of Helen on Talking Pictures TV In celebration of the birthday of the late, great actor, Peter Cushing OBE, (26 – 11 August 1994), we present an interview made in 1990 with him by Peter Williams. This incredibly personal interview is a heart-wrenching, yet uplifting, glimpse into the life of a brilliant actor, but Peter Cushing was more than a tremendous stage presence. He was also an exceptional human being; one who suffered a shocking amount of shyness and self-doubt as a child; and was plagued with unsurety as a young man. Peter eloquently reminisces about his wife, Helen, his childhood, his love of painting and his thoughts on religion. Airs: Wednesday 26th May 5:30pm.
