THE SECOND CITY, CHICAGO’S FAMOUS IMPROV THEATER TROUPE, RETURNS TO PHILADELPHIA FOR WE’RE ALL IN THIS ROOM TOGETHER FEBRUARY 3–4, 2017

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Philadelphia, PA, December 22, 2016) –– Famed comedy troupe The Second City – where many of today’s top comedy superstars got their start – will visit the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts’ Perelman Theater for three performances of their show We’re All In This Room Together, Friday, February 3 and Saturday, February 4. The show features improvised comedy, audience interaction, and of-the-moment sketches and songs from the legendary sketch comedy archives.

“We are thrilled to welcome the return of The Second City to the Kimmel Center campus for another hilarious weekend,” said Anne Ewers, President and CEO of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. “A creative blend of comedy, music and , this generation of comedians will have everyone in the room howling with laughter.”

The Second City began in and is now the world’s predominant comedy club and improv school. From the beginning, the club has been a platform for comedians, actors, and directors working in show business with live shows every night in Chicago, Toronto, and Hollywood. Made up of the next generations of the comedy world’s best performers, the talented comedians of Second City ensure the audience never gets the same show twice. Each performance features entertaining sketch comedy and The Second City’s trademark improvisation.
