VILLAGE DEVELOPMENT 3 Villages from Tal Project: VILLAGE DEVELOPMENT 3 Villages from Tal. Ambegaon, Dist. Pune CSR team and Maharashtra Arogya Mandal, Pune visited Dasturwadi [Nighotwadi], Landewadi, Kashimbe [Budruk] Taluka Ambegaon, Dist. Pune on Tuesday, 16th October. 2018 to select new villages. More than 50 villagers, Sarpanch and Grampanchayat members were present in each village The team also surveyed the existing Bandhara deepening work, Drinking Water scheme, land leveling & farming Sites. Water Tank Construction work in progress at Thakarwadi village. This work is in collaboration with Government. Water Tank - inside flooring Meeting with Gram panchayat Nighotwadi - Dasturwadi Village & School visit at Landewadi village Meeting regarding Medical kit for villagers under Health indicator Kashimbe [Budruk] School visit Field Visit at Landewadi village Certificate of Swachhata Hi Seva - 2018 given to 6 villages from Ambegaon taluka, Dist. Pune Village Dhamner, Tal. Koregaon, Dist. Satara Hand Over [laaokap-Na saaohLa] of Drinking Water Scheme On Wednesday, 24th October, 2018 the inauguration of the Drinking Water Tank was done in the hands of Mrs. Kirti Nalawade [Sub–Divisional Magistrate, Satara]. Mrs. Smita Pawar [Tahasildar, Koregaon taluka], Arun Pawar [Ex. Commissioner, Income Tax - Govt. Of Maharashtra], Mrs. Leena Deshpande, Sarpanch & Villagers were also present for the same. The villagers around Dhamner station area will get supply of drinking water due to water tank construction work done by Bharat Forge. Water storage capacity of this tank is 30,000 liters. This will benefit around 1500 people. The representatives from 12 villages where BFL is working, were present for the program. Opening Ceremony in the hands of Mrs. Kirti Nalawade [Sub–Divisional Magistrate, Prant, Satara] & Mrs. Smita Pawar [Tahasildar, Koregaon taluka] Interactions with villagers Constructed Water Tank Village Bodhewadi, Tal. Koregaon, Dist. Satara Hand Over [laaokap-Na saaohLa] of Drinking Water Scheme Bharat Forge had handed over the scheme for drinking water to the villagers. BFL had constructed open well, distribution pipeline and water tank. Water storage capacity of this well is 15000 liters. Mrs. Priyanka Rashinkar – Sarpanch, Mrs. Leena Deshpande [BFL], Mr. Sunil Rukari - Direc- tor, Vishweshwar Bank & Villagers were present for this program. Since last 100 years there was no water for drinking in the village. The women used to fetch water from the source which is 4 to 5 Km away from the village. Department of A.I.H.C. and Archaeology, Deccan College Postgraduate and Research Institute, Pune – 411 006, Maharashtra, India (Email: ganeshbhongale333@ gmail.com) Received: 29 August 2018; Revised: 03 October 2018; Accepted: 12 November 2018 Heritage: Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies in Archaeology 6 (2018): 720‐738 Abstract: The present paper highlights a temple which is not discussed in the realm of the Vaishnavite tradition of Early Medieval South‐Western Maharashtra. If we delve further in the nature of Brahmanism during this period, Shaivism was in its fully developed form in that region as compared to rare occurrence of Viṣṇu temples. The temple discussed here stands on high platform pertaining exterior and interior plain walls and decorative pillars with diverse iconography. This temple is perhaps a rare example where the iconographic combination of Hayagriva and Surya is depicted, hinting at the possibility of prevalence of joint worship of Hayagriva and Surya. The prominent nature of Vaishnavite iconography suggests that this temple is associated with Viṣṇu. It is rare to find independent Viṣnụ temple during this period, hence this temple is probably the only temple of Visṇ ̣u in South‐Western Maharashtra. Land: The land provided comes under mining area approved by the government of Maharashtra. Therefore no need of human displacement is needed in the project area. The land provided for stone mining is 0.35 hectare to the project proponent. Co-ordinate: The coordinates of the plant site are latitude 17°31'50.15"N and longitude 74° 12'10.53"E Water: Water requirement of the project will be met through the water tanker and bore well which is existing in the human settlement area. SATARA Introduction:- In Satara district Koregaon taluka comes under Dryaland and rainfed area. most of the crop production depends on rain. Annual income of farmers in this area is comparatively low. So, that it is necessary to promote dairy based farming system in this area. To overcome fodder availability problem Hydroponic fodder production technique is unique and cost efficiant than traditional fodder production method. Traditional fodder production has a number of limitations regarding soil & climatic conditions. In successful milch animal rearing green fodder has its special significance. A suitable combination of green & dry fodder is very important for maintaining animal health& milk production. But in scarcity condition traditional green fodder production become impossible because of lack of irrigation water. In such condition the technique of green fodder production by Hydroponic method is very useful tool.With this technique, it is possible to produce green fodder like Maize ,Wheat, Bajra etc. This technique does not require soil. Hence limitations like saline soil, inferior soil, water logged soil etc can be easily overcome. This technique requires very less quantity of water. Hence it can be easily undertaken in scarcity affected areas. GREEN FODDER NEED FOR CATTLE Green fodder is the natural diet of cattle. Green fodder is the most viable method to not only enhance milk production, but to also bring about a qualitative change in the milk produced by enhancing the content of unsaturated fat,, Omega 3 fatty acids , vitamins, minerals and carotenoids. Hydroponics fodder growing is the state-of-the-art technological intervention to supplement the available normal green fodder resources required by the dairy cattle.
