SRI SATHYA SAI SEVA ORGANISATION, MAHARASHTRA -PUNE DISTRICT AUM SRI SAI RAM ASHADI EKADASHI SEVA ACTIVITY – BAHIRWADI JULY 18,2021 With Bhagawans blessings and guidance on Sunday July 18,2021 as part of the Ashadi Ekadashi Seva devotees and youth of Pune offered Seva at the divine lotus feet. All Devotees were waiting for an opportunity to come out of the confinement and comfort of their homes and to perform some Seva activity and offer it to our beloved Bhagawan. Pune district took this opportunity and identified needy Narayan’s in village Bahirwadi in Purandar Taluka about 60 Kms from Pune. This village was in news recently for being the first village in Maharashtra and probably in India to be 100 % vaccinated done by the administration. Despite of overwhelming response from all samithis we had to restrict the numbers and had about 80 Seva Dal Mahila and Gents majority of which were youth participate in the Seva. All Covid 19 norms were strictly adhered to and Seva was performed in a controlled manner. The core team had worked very hard in collecting the material a day in advance and transport it to the site a day in advance. Activity was planned in the Following manner: ➢ Omkaram, Ganesh Prarthana, Sai Gayatri, Ganesha Bhajan ➢ Explanation and Do’s and Don’ts of the activity ➢ Tree Plantation of 250 saplings – Mango Kesar, Lemon and Guava. Recipient family members were accompanied by the Seva dal to their farms and some of the trees were planted. Remaining trees were handed over to the ➢ Immunity Kit distribution for the Bachat Gat, Angan wadi, and Asha worker Mahilas from nearby villages. Some of those who could not attend were given immunity kits the following day at village Saswad. ➢ Ashadi Ekadashi Kirtan offered by 10 Warkaris from Alandi. ➢ Goody bags distribution containing Biscuits, Sweets and chocolates etc. ➢ Mangal Aarthi ➢ Narayan Seva for about 450 villagers and devotees. Prasadam box contained Vibhuti packet, Swami's Photograph and sweets. Following areas of Nagar Road Samiti and Units were blessed with Swami's Prasadam - Yerawada, Kalyani Ngr., Viman Ngr., Ghorapde, Vishrantiwadi, Vidya Ngr., Tingare Ngr., Dhanori, WadgaonSheri - Chandan Ngr., Amanora Park, Kharadi, Wagholi. May Swami shower his divine blessings on the devotees and Sevadal. Sunday, 18th July 2021 Tree Plantation. Tree Plantation is done at Vidyaniketan Vidyalaya, Viman Nagar. Gulmohar and Pipal tree sapling were planted. School administration assured that they are going take care of these plants. Administrative head is Sai devotees and regularly participating in all Seva activities. Mrs. Smita Pawar [Tahasildar, Koregaon taluka], Arun Pawar [Ex. Commissioner, Income Tax - Govt. Of Maharashtra], Mrs. Leena Deshpande, Sarpanch & Villagers were also present for the same. The villagers around Dhamner station area will get supply of drinking water due to water tank construction work done by Bharat Forge. Water storage capacity of this tank is 30,000 liters. This will benefit around 1500 people. The representatives from 12 villages where BFL is working, were present for the program. Rapid urbanization is spilling beyond city boundaries into the highways connecting large cities, instigating a frenzied consolidation and conversion of agricultural lands into urban/industrial lands. This process is fraught with conflict, as different social groups compete to stake their claims on the land value increments – the increases in land value due to the change in land use from agricultural to non-agricultural - of these newly converted highway lands. Against the backdrop of conflictual land consolidation processes, this dissertation examines the unique case of the Pune highways, located in the state of Maharashtra in India. Along some of Pune’s highways, agrarian landowners – sometimes voluntarily and sometimes with the mediation of bureaucrats – are pooling their fragmented agricultural lands, converting them to urban and industrial lands, and forming collective institutions of land ownership to own and control these newly converted highway lands.
