Abundant infrastructure is already in place, as well as, 20 megawatt electrical service with redundant feeds. Current power pricing for the site is $0.045/kWh and available from the city. NPPD is under construction with a second loop and will locate the substation on the Cardinal Data Park site bringing an additional 100 megawatts to the area when at full capacity. The Nebraska climate allows for 60% free cooling. South Sioux City has worked proactively to become a wireless community. Every business and residence is connected to a fiber loop and seven providers with local POP’s offer services. Dark fiber is in place. This equates to 65% to 76% free cooling. Average first freeze occurs around September 24 and last frost occurs around May 21.
