Peter Asher’s British Invasion To Descend On Hard Rock Casino Vancouver
COQUITLAM, BC (December 3, 2013) – Peter Asher’s British Invasion is set to take over the Hard Rock Casino Vancouver on Friday, April 11, 2014. This coming together of three legendary musicians of the 60’s & early 70’s – Peter Asher, Joey Molland and Terry Sylvester – will transport fans to a time when British Rock & Roll took over the world.
Peter Asher’s music career began in 1964 as one-half of the legendary British Invasion duo, Peter & Gordon whose debut single, the Lennon-McCartney classic, “A World Without Love” rocketed to #1 in over thirty countries. Additional hits included “I Go To Pieces” and “Lady Godiva”. In 1968, Asher became head of A&R for the Beatles’ newly formed record company, Apple Records where he discovered, signed and produced James Taylor and worked closely with the Beatles on their individual projects.
Asher – who continued to tour with Gordon Waller until his passing in 2009 – will perform several of Peter & Gordon’s classics. Also appearing will be Badfinger’s Joey Molland whose hits include “No Matter What”, “Come and Get It” and “Day After Day” and Terry Sylvester of The Hollies who will be performing such chart toppers as “Bus Stop”, “He Ain’t Heavy … He’s My Brother” and “Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress”.
