(2019). - Research in Translation article in Current Conservation. “Conserve the Beauty to Save the Beast?” (2019). - Coordinator/lead PI; Matoseuranta, citizen science programme in Finland (most recent work was helping with workshops for junior high classes in Helsinki to learn to extract DNA and leading an outreach event for families); (2016-2018). - Coordinator/co-PI; Alberta Worm Tracker, citizen science programme in Alberta; (2013-ongoing). - Coordinator, Alberta Worm Invasions Project – creation of education program to inform anglers not to dump bait; (2009-2015). - I am also a member of the Global Soil Biodiversity Initiative (GSBI), which promotes the involvement of expert knowledge on soil biodiversity in environmental policy and management. With others in this organization, I contributed to the FAO Global Assessment on Soil Biodiversity (listed in the non- refereed articles section above), have participated as a panellist in several organized symposiums (see presentations section above), and was invited as an expert to the Soil-BON meeting at the European Commission Joint Research Centre (Ispra, Italy) in May 2019.
