California Baptist will then host Iona on Thursday Mar. 17 7:00 PM Harvard @ Pacific Mar. 19 4:00 PM San Diego St. @ LMU * before kicking off a full weekend of tournament action. 1- Lancer Invitational - CBU; 2 - Aztec Invitational - SDSU The Lancers will host their own invitational Friday and Satur- day, and it will feature fellow GCC rival Fresno Pacific. Following the conference showdown, both Pacific and San Diego State will play in the Aztec Invitational on Satuday and Sunday. LMU, ranked 13th nationally, will host their first home game on Sat- urday, taking on fifth-ranked UC Irvine. Fresno Pacific will then travel to UC Davis to take on the host Aggies and Harvard on Monday. Pacific will then host Harvard on Tuesday, March 17. The sophomore scored a season-high three goals on three shot attempts to help No. 12 SDSU beat California Baptist on the 2014 GCC PLAYER OF THE WEEK road, 11-9, to improve to 2-0 in GCC action. She also added a steal and drew a team- Jan. 21 Mackenzie Beck - LMU high three ejections. The Aztecs scored on two of the power-play opportunities. Jan. 28 Ivana Castro - LMU The Broncos faced a tough weekend at the Aggie Shootout going 1-2 and falling to No. 17 Wagner at home on Monday night. Despite the tough competition, junior Julia Feb. 4 Elizabeth Anderson - SCU Peters found the back of the net a total of 11 times in four games. The Sunbirds fell on day one to Chapman, 9-7, and Mar. 4 Ashley Taylor - APU co-host Pomona-Pitzer, 10-4. Scheer recorded a hat trick on the day and goalkeeper Kelsie Harvey recorded her 1,000 career save. On Saturday, FPU fell to Whittier 9-3 and Mar. 11 Alyssa Diacono - SDSU ended the tourney with a win against Occidental, 9-3. Scheer scored once and dished out three assists for the Sunbirds in the win, while Courtney Hall tallied 12 saves in the cage. The Sunbirds are back in action this weekend at the Lancer Invitational. California Baptist University battled on defense in its first Golden Coast Conference game of the season on Saturday March 7,2015 against No. 12 San Diego State. The Lancers couldn’t follow through to secure the win, falling to the Aztecs in a tightly- contested 11-9 loss. Senior Mallory Montano has one goal, two assists and three steals during the match.
