However, it will feature the first conference match-up Oct. 1 10:30 AM Occidental @ (6) Long Beach State for the first-year league as No. 4 Pacific travels to No. 9 Pepperdine on Sunday, Oct. 12:00 PM Long Beach City @ (6) Long Beach State 2 at 12 noon. 12:00 PM Pacific @ USC 12:00 PM UC Irvine @ UCLA Pacific will head to Southern California on Saturday, Oct. 1 to take on No. 3 USC in a 12:00 PM UCSB @ California rematch of the MPSF Invitational third place game. The game is set for noon. Sixth- 3:00 PM Golden West College @ (6) Long Beach State ranked Long Beach State will host a trio of games, including Occidental at 10:30 am Oct. 2 12:00 PM Pacific @ Pepperdine * on Saturday. Both seventh-ranked UC Santa Barbara and San Jose State (RV) will 1:00 PM San Jose State @ California play at Cal. The Gauchos make the trip on Saturday while San Jose State is at Cal Oct. 6 6:30 PM UCSB @ Pepperdine on Sunday. The other match-up on the week will see 13th-ranked UC Irvine travel to 7:00 PM Long Beach State @ California top-ranked UCLA on Saturday. He scored four goals in 9-6 win over sixth-ranked UC Santa Barbara. Had four of team’s seven goals in 7-4 win over 11th-ranked UC Davis. Scored a goal in the tight setbacks to No. 2 USC and No. 5 Stanford. Leads team with 27 goals. After a busy weekend in Berkeley that included four games, Long Beach State will be back in action for four more games this Saturday at their home pool. Their two wins came 8 Harvard University 8 (T) 66 against No. 7 UC Santa Barbara and No. 10 UC Davis. The 49ers will open up Saturday with a rematch 9 Pepperdine 10 58 against Occidental, who they defeated 19-1 a few weeks ago in the Inland Empire Tournament. The Beach 10 (T) UC Davis 11 (T) 49 will then face off against a couple of local junior college teams in Golden West College and Long Beach City 10 (T) Bucknell University 13 49 College. Both boast impressive records at 9-0 and 6-1, respectively. The day will conclude with LBSU facing 12 UC San Diego 14 42 off against Long Beach State Alumni. 13 UC Irvine 8 (T) 35 14 Princeton University 11 (T) 34 PACIFIC 15 Brown University 15 31 Aleksandar Petrovic led Pacific with six goals and eight assists as the Tigers finished fourth at the Mountain 16 California Baptist 16 (T) 27 Pacific Invitational, the annual NorCal tournament. He scored one goal and added four assists in Pacific’s 17 George Washington 16 (T) 24 win over No. 5 Stanford to advance to the semifinals, and he tallied a goal and three assists against No. 18 Air Force Academy RV 18 1 UCLA. 19 Pomona-Pitzer Colleges NR 9 20 Santa Clara University 19 7 RV San Jose State 18 5 PEPPERDINE RV Whittier College RV 4 Freshman George Mooney had a breakout game for No. 10 Pepperdine in the Waves’ win over No. 8 UC RV Saint Francis College RV 3 Irvine to open the Mountain Pacific Invitational. Mooney scored a season-high three goals in a convincing RV Fresno Pacific University 20 1 12-6 victory over the Anteaters. Mooney also found the back of the net against No. 6 UC Santa Barbara RV Loyola Marymount RV 1 to give him 11 goals on the year. Pepperdine finished eighth at the Mountain Pacific Invitational, nearly missing an upset over No. 5 Stanford after leading for most of the contest. Marko Asic continued to lead the offensive push for the Waves, scoring seven times in Pepperdine’s three losses. Asic now has 36 goals 2016 GCC PLAYER OF THE WEEK on the year. Sept. 7 Ikko Saito SAN JOSE STATE Pacific San Jose State returns to action, Sunday, October 2, taking on California in a non-conference match at the Spieker Aquatic Complex on the Berkeley campus. Match time is 1:00 p.m. The Golden Bears finished Sept. 14 Matej Matijevic UC Irvine second at the Mountain Pacific Invitational losing to UCLA, 10-7, in the championship match. Sept. 21 Alen Osmanovic UC IRVINE Pacific Freshman Bryant Joudrie scored a team-high seven goals for UC Irvine at the Mountain Pacific Invitational this past weekend. He scored three goals each in the Anteaters’ victories over San Jose State (12-7) and Sept. 29 Nolan McConnell Long Beach St. Santa Clara (10-6). Joudrie scored all three of his goals in the first quarter against San Jose State and he had two goals early in the third quarter versus Santa Clara to help UCI extend its lead... UC Irvine went 2-2 at the Mountain Pacific Invitational in Northern California this past weekend. Junior goalie Matej Matijevic had 61 saves in the four games while Bryant Joudrie, Ryan Warde, and Ian Fleenor scored seven goals each... Jack Trush, who scored six goals, including a career-high five against Pomona-Pitzer, leads the Ant- eaters with 25 on the season. Warde follows with 17 and Fleenor and Joudrie have 16 apiece. Matijevic has registered 170 saves in 12 starts. UC SANTA BARBARA Senior Reed Cotterill started in all four games of the Mountain Pacific Invitational and got at least one goal and drawn exclusion every game. Overall, he lead the team last weekend with nine goals – scoring hat tricks in both UCSB victories – and nine drawn exclusions. He also recorded four steals, the second-most on the Gaucho roster. Toping off his stats. Cotterill also recorded two field blocks and one assist.
