After five big match-ups last week that saw San Diego State and Santa Clara earn big wins, four more will take place this Friday and Saturday. After moving to the top of the conference and back into the na- tional rankings, No. 20 San Diego State will have two key confer- ence road games, starting with No. 19 Santa Clara on Friday at 3 pm and then at Pacific at Noon on Saturday. It will be the Tigers final conference game. LMU will also play its final conference game against Azusa Pacific on Saturday at Noon. Fresno Pacific will wrap-up GCC play as well, traveling to California Baptist on Saturday for a 11 am start. Earning big conference wins on the week were Santa Clara and San Diego State, led by Julia Peters and Rachel Mitchell, respec- tively. The Broncos’ Peters and the Aztecs’ Mitchell have been named the GCC Co-Players of the Week for Apr. 9. On LMU’s next offensive possession, Mitchell made a steal and found Anique Hermann, who gave the Aztecs a lead they would not relinquish. Feb. 19 Hannah Evans - CBU Feb. 26 Claire Wright - LMU California Baptist University goalkeeper Lina Medeiros was dominant in the Lancers’ one game of the week against Azusa Pacific in conference action, as she racked up 13 Mar. 5 Nia Apodaca - FPU saves, three steals and assist in the game. APU managed just four goals as CBU won its eight-straight game. Medeiros has 90 saves and allowed just 47 goals through nine Mar. 12 Kaitlin Murphy - SCU games this year. She also has 20 assists and 16 steals. Mar. 19 Alexandra Honny - LMU Fresno Pacific goal Kelsie Harvey continues to have a head-turning season, going for Mar. 26 Maryann Slama - APU 31 saves in a pair of GCC games last week.
