She allowed just three even-strength goals on the day. San Diego State earned the first GCC win of the season thanks to sophomore Ioli Benekou. She tallied six goals, four steals and drew three ejections last week. In the 2014 GCC PLAYER OF THE WEEK GCC-opening win at Fresno Pacific, she connected on her only shot attempt, added three steals and had one field block. In the victory over then 17th-ranked UC Santa Jan. 21 Mackenzie Beck - LMU Barbara, she equaled her career high with five goals, which came on six attempts (83.3 Jan. 28 Ivana Castro - LMU percent), had one steal, two field blocks and drew three ejections, one of which led to an SDSU goal. Against UCSB, she had a hand in SDSU scoring six of its seven goals. Feb. 4 Elizabeth Anderson - SCU On Feb. 15 the Broncos picked up two home wins, hosting the Cal Lutheran Regals Feb. 11 Anique Hermann - SDSU and the Sonoma State Seawolves. Senior co-captain Julia Peters lead the pack for the Feb. 18 Michele Relton - PAC Broncos in both games, scoring two in the 11-2 win over the Regals and four goals in the 12-9 win over the Seawolves. Peters also earned three ejections and one five- meter, giving the Broncos 6-on-5 opportunities. In taking on three top-20 programs, Azusa Pacific Maryann Slama had five goals in six steals. APU took on UC San Diego, No. 4 Cal and 13th-ranked UC Davis. Fresno Pacific hosted a mini-tournament last weekend and Kaeli Hanson led the way with three goals, six drawn exclusions, and one steal on the weekend. Fresno Pacific settled for a day split at the FPU Mini Tourney last weekend against Concordia and No. 1 Stanford. The Sunbirds used a six-goal first half to down the Eagles 8-6 in the morning session before the top-ranked Cardinal impressed with a 20-1 win at Sunnyside Aquat- ics Center. Kaeli Hanson led the Sunbirds with three goals, six drawn exclusions and a steal on the weekend. FPU is back in action on Feb. 27-28 at the Tina Finali Invitational.
