1 Walking Directions Connolly Luas Stop to/from Replacement Bus Service Bus Stops

Connolly Luas Stop to Bus Stop Number 2498 at IFSC House, Custom House Quay (350 meters) for replacement bus services to The Point

Head south on continuing straight along by the Luas stop for approximately 55 meters until you find “Blister” type tactile paving underfoot.

Turn to your left to use the crossing which has an island in the middle. On the island, you need to turn right at an angle of 45 degrees or so and cross again. These are crossings for Luas tracks only, so there are no pedestrian signals.

On the far side, veer right and keep going south on Amiens Street, onto Memorial Road towards the Quays for approximately 160 meters, passing a wide entrance/laneway with no kerbs or tactile paving on your way.

When you find red tactile paving underfoot you know you will have reached the Quays. Do not use this crossing.

Turn left onto Custom House Quay. The bus stop is approximately 82 meters from here. There is a side road/entrance fairly soon which has low kerbs but there are rough cobbles in the entrance if you go too far to the left and smoother, brick-type sets/cobbles to the right. A narrow, smooth track leads across the entrance to the far side. If you can’t find it, find the rough cobbles and keep them on your left as you cross.

2 Continue straight on, keeping close to the low wall on the left. When it juts out, the Bus Stop Number 2498 is a step or two further on.

3 Bus Stop Number 6252 opposite Jurys Inn, Custom House Quay to Connolly Luas Stop (675 meters)

Head west on Custom House Quay towards Sean O’Casey Bridge for approximately 79 meters.

At the traffic lights at Sean O’Casey Bridge, cross Custom House Quay in front of CHQ Building.

Take a left and continue along Custom House Quay for approximately 200 meters.

Turn right onto Memorial Road veering right onto Amiens Street for approximately 160 meters until the junction with George’s Dock at La Touche House.

Cross the road to the left to the traffic Island at Harbour Master Place.

Keeping left, cross over the tram tracks to the footpath at the end of Connolly Station.

Turn right and continue straight along the footpath for approximately 55 meters to arrive at the closed Luas stop at Connolly station.

4 Replacement bus service stop, Bus Éireann Stop Number 135101, Crampton Quay (between Aston and Wellington Quay) to Jervis Luas Stop (300 meters) via Millennium Walkway

Note: This pedestrianised route would probably be easiest for guide dog users. Can users may also prefer to use this route, to at least be safe from traffic; but cyclists cut through here quite a lot. The combination of open space and lots of obstacles also makes it more challenging for anyone not using a guide dog.

Head west on Crampton Quay towards Wellington Quay/Millennium Bridge for approximately 72 meters.

Take a right onto Millennium Bridge crossing the road at the traffic lights.

Continue onto Millennium Bridge for approximately 62 meters.

Once across the bridge, cross the road at the traffic lights, taking a right onto Ormond Quay, approximately 5 meters.

Turn left onto Bloom Lane and continue straight for approximately 69 meters.

Cross over Strand Street Great at the zebra crossing (note there are no audible signals but traffic is slow moving and infrequent on this side road) and continue onto Millennium Walkway continuing straight for approximately 87 meters.

Turn right onto Abbey Street Upper and walk for approximately 17 meters to arrive at Jervis Luas Stop outbound.
