  • North Shore United Coachingmanager@Nsu .Org.Nz Has a Proud History of Doing Well in 021 0228 3770 the Chatham Cup
We Are North Shore SATURDAY 13th MAY 2017 – KICK OFF 2PM CHATHAM CUP – RD1 OFFICIAL MATCH DAY PROGRAMME OPPOSITION: METRO FC HEAD COACH– Tom Speers Good afternoon and welcome back to the the Hill for the 1st round of the Chatham Cup. I would like to welcome Mike and his Metro team here today, I expect it to be a lot tighter game than when they visited in the first game of season and I'm sure they will be looking to do a lot better than the 7-0 they experienced here that day. I love being part of the Cup and as there is only one cup competition in NZ I'm looking forward to hopefully going far. This club has a rich history in this cup, winning it 6 times, the last being in 1986, so fingers crossed we can progress into the later rounds of the competition and be there or there about towards the end. You can see the success we have had in this competition all over the clubhouse walls and talking with former players who have won it, we know how important it is to the club that we represent the club properly, so unlike the rumours I have been hearing, we will be playing a full strength squad and hoping every club in this competition do the same, resting players when you only have 1 game a week would be disrespectful to the longest cup competition on the planet and also be quite embarrassing for the clubs that do so. I hope you have a good day and hopefully see us progress, get behind the boys and make some noise.

  • MATCH DAY PROGRAM 19 August 2017
MATCH DAY PROGRAM 19th August 2017 Photo courtesy of AT Photo UPPER HUTT CITY VS WELLINGTON UNITED MAIDSTONE PARK - KO 1:00 PM A message from Gibby . We’ve managed 3 games in 11 days which has been a tough ask for this end of the season, but what an 11 days! First up we had PNM in the Knockout Cup Quarter Final. Leading up to this game we’d won a game apiece, and drawn 1-1 so it was always going to be a tight game. These games are always tough physical battles and this was no exception. Both teams were throwing everything they had into it, which was reflected in the half time score of 0-0. The second 45 was just as tough as the first, and we managed to get on the score sheet when PNM gave the ball away in their defensive third and Lena de Ronde capitalised by driving a cross into the 6 yard box and Emma Main nipped in front of her defender to tuck the ball away. 1-0. PNM are the sort of team that never gives up, and they struck back after a ball over the top was picked up by their striker and they slotted the ball into the far post tying the game up 1-1. Cup matches need a result, and so into extra time we went. Both teams were showing the effects of a long hard tussle, but through sheer grit and determination we pushed forward, and sent a cross into the box for Lena de Ronde to pop up at the far post driving the ball into the net to take us 2-1 up.

All proceeds going towards the club, please make sure you grab a burger! Monday, 5 June 2017 Chatham Cup Programme – NWAFC vs NPRAFC Page 1 of 7 Welcome, It is my pleasure to welcome everyone to Alex Moore Park for this important ISPS Handa Chatham Cup match as we host New Plymouth Rangers. As the largest senior club in the Wellington region we are pleased and proud to offer footballing opportunities for players of all ages and stages on the football spectrum. The Northern Hills Pathway has been an important initiative for football development in our area. We are working together with the Onslow and North Wellington junior football clubs, Newlands and Onslow Colleges, to create a player pathway for footballers of any ability. This is one of the most significant pieces of work ever embarked upon. Although in its early stages, all 5 organisations agreeing to work together and collaborate with the aim of promoting the best interests of footballers is a worthy objective which will have positive ramifications for years to come. Our partnership with the Ngatiawa Russell Masonic Lodge and their sponsorship of our Men’s Premier team has been a very positive experience. This alliance has increased the profile of our club while also promoting the opportunity to become involved in Freemasonry. The recent announcement by Just Paterson Real Estate of their sponsorship of our Men’s Reserve and Third teams has been equally well received.

The equivalent of England's FA Cup, the trophy was gifted to the New Zealand Football Association by the crew of HMS Chatham, as a means of thanking the New Zealand public for the great goodwill shown the sailors during their time in this part of the world. It has become the most sought after honour in New Zealand soccer, with a record number of teams - 172 - entering the competition in 1991, the NZFA's centenary season. University-Mt. Wellington have won the trophy seven times, one more than both Christchurch United and North Shore United, who have reached the final on twelve occasions. Eastern Suburbs and Central United boast the next best records, with five triumphs apiece.

  • Waimak United Football Club
WAIMAK UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB SENIOR MATCH DAY PROGRAM Saturday 12th May 2018 www.waimakunited.org.nz Comments from the club This week our two premier teams are playing in knockout cup matches this weekend. Our Men’s CCL team are playing in round one of the ISPS Handa Chatham Cup against Coastal Spirit, beating Burnham Football Club 8 to 1 in the preliminary round. Our Women’s WPL team are up against Cashmere Technical in round one of the New Zealand Football Foundation Kate Sheppard Cup. Formally known as the Women’s Knockout Cup, the Kate Sheppard Cup was renamed on International Women’s Day. It is a club-based knockout competition, first played in 1994 as a pathway for players linking important strategic goals of New Zealand Football; ‘More Kiwis loving and playing football and our elite teams winning on the world stage’ (New Zealand Football). The announcement of the Kate Sheppard Cup was made on New Zealand’s 125th anniversary of New Zealand becoming the first self-governing country in which all women had the right to vote in parliamentary elections in 1893. Kate Sheppard was a pioneer for women and it is very fitting for the trophy to be named after her. The tagline for the competition is ‘Make a name for yourself’ recognising Sheppard’s achievements. The Kate Sheppard Cup will see regional teams kicking off against each other before it goes into national games at quarter finals. The final is played as a double header with the ISPS Handa Chatham Cup final as part of the traditional end of the New Zealand football season in September.

Box 75 122 War Memorial Park Manurewa Gibbs Rd Auckland Manurewa Phone: (09) 267 1120 www.manurewaafc.org.nz Welcome to the first home game of the season at Memorial Park. The top two sides started last week with a loss to Bay Olympic for our Premier side—they now know what's needed. Well done to the Reserves for their first win. This week we welcome Birkenhead's two top sides and look forward to hosting them at the park today. Today we see the changes our club administration has been working on with the return to the club of our small whites who have been based at Pullman Park Papakura for the last few years as part of the whole of football plan. To Kieran and Todd thanks for your efforts in making this happen. It's now the clubs responsibility to make it work. On the other side we start the season with a club breakfast which is quite fitting as we welcome on board the Wiri Licencing Trust as the clubs first team sponsor for the 2017 season. Although they are long time supporters of the club, it is great to see them become sponsors again. We look forward to a long term arrangement which benefits both The Trust, Club and the community. Today with our Premier and Reserve team players here please take the time to have a chat and get to know them. Also coaches introduce them to your team members.

NORTH SHORE UNITED SUNDAY 16th JULY 2017 – KICK OFF 2PM CHATHAM CUP LAST 16 KIWITEA STADIUM, SANDRINGHAM OFFICIAL NEWSLETTER OPPOSITION: CENTRAL UNITED TOM SPEERS – HEAD COACH I'm definitely looking forward to this weekend! One thing surprised me being involved in football in NZ, was that there is only 1 cup competition! But as there is only one, everyone, including myself, get really up for it and that will be no different this Sunday. Against a strong team in Central, we know the big challenge that awaits us, they are essentially a national league side with some fantastic players, but on the day it is 11v11 and on our day anything can happen. So firstly I hope that we are competitive and give them a good game but the winner in me, knows we are going there for only one thing, to try our hardest to make sure North Shore is in the next round.
