Mobile Health (mHealth) Technology to Build a Culture of Health for Women of Color Collaborator/ Evaluator 2014 – Present University of Florida, College of Health and Human Performance Utilizing Community Based Participatory Research, (CBPR) to develop a health application for Women of color.

Emergency Birth Control Access in the Tidewater Region 2012 Principle Investigator Hampton University School of Pharmacy Research conducted to determine the cost discrepancies of emergency contraception in the Tidewater area.

Students With Aspirations and Goals (SWAG) 2011- 2012 Principle Investigator Nebraska Mutual Fund for Community Engagement $10,000 A grassroots community program designed to actively engage Hampton University’s students in learning and employing the keys tenants of Public Health and participate as a funding organization that provided university student organizations the opportunity to submit proposals to address specific health risk factors on campus that were prioritized by the participating students.

Designing, Maintaining, and Evaluating a Family Support Access Expansion Center for Vulnerable African American Families in the Tidewater Region of Virginia Administration on Children and Families 2010 – 2012 Principle Investigator Hampton University and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services - $1,243,245 Multi institution and disciplinary program designed to engage families and professionals to create support centers for the early identification and support of families with children with disabilities in the Hampton Roads area. Center to Advance Rehabilitative Health and Education (CARE) 2014 Alabama State University Evaluator and Health Disparities Consultant Development of a national agenda focusing on Health Disparities in Rehabilitation and Rehabilitation education at Minority Serving Institutions.

Institute for HIV Prevention Leadership 2002 -2007 University of South Carolina and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Instructional Materials Manager, Scholar Advisor, Evaluation, Session Facilitator The Institute for HIV Prevention Leadership (IHPL) was a four-week, intensive learning experience where program managers and executive directors from minority, community-based HIV prevention organizations acquire the key tenants to Public Health, skills to build organizational capacity and execute and evaluate competent HIV prevention programs.

African American’s Perceptions of HIV and Knowledge of Partner Risk 2002 – 2008 University of South Carolina Grant Director, Data Manager Qualitative study focused African Americans aged 18-60 on knowledge and perceptions of partner HIV risk.

Care and Support of HIV Positive Persons in South Carolina 2005 - 2006 NASTAD and the South Carolina HIV/AIDS Care Consortia Project Director A state-wide study designed to address the care and support service needs of HIV positive persons in South Carolina’s eleven (11) Ryan White CARE Act service areas.
