The Future

The Rotterdam Exchange Format Initiative originated in September 2016 as a result of the KWALON Conference: Reflecting on the Future of QDA Software, held at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Software developers attending the conference agreed to work together in developing an exchange format that would enable users of such software to migrate their research project between software packages.

While the exchange format will be free and public, the currently participating software programs and developers are:

• ATLAS.ti http://atlasti.com/ • Dedoose http://www.dedoose.com/ • f4Analyse https://www.audiotranskription.de/english/f4-analyse • MAXQDA http://www.maxqda.com/ • NVivo http://www.qsrinternational.com/product • QDA Miner https://provalisresearch.com/ • Quirkos https://www.quirkos.com/ • https://transana.com/
